I’ve largely gotten offline and away from ads and it’s been wonderful. I’ve reconnected with old friends and made new ones and I’ve been exploring hobbies that I’ve been meaning to re-explore since 2020

Never. And it was BECAUSE it was such a good organizing tool. Labor movements, BLM, Arab Spring, #MeToo? All because of Twitter. He wanted (I continue to believe) to break solidarity and communication and he did, very effectively. (or maybe it was just ego + foolishness. Maybe.)
I know Elon has done a lot of truly evil things, but I’ll also never forgive him for stealing Twitter from us.

so much light. yet another woman whose voice we refused to hear. An homage to her prophetic voice through a feminist theological lens:

NEVER FORGET the debt we all owe to the Miccosukee Tribe, without whom it would still be open. And never forget that Indigenous sovereignty and all our safety and flourishing are forever intertwined.

There's a nice warm seat in hell for people who terrorize children and deprive them of their parents.
This little boy just watched his father being taken away. We've reached a place where people celebrate moments like this. They quote scripture, talk about God's will, and then cheer while a child cries. That's not what loving your neighbor looks like.

Everyone is one bad day away from permanent disability.
My mom stubbed her toe on the corner foot of the bed. A thing we've all done a hundred times in our lives. Her had to have her leg amputated and spend ten months in the hospital because of it. 🤷 Disability can be incredibly random and without warning or reason.
