Allowing this rhetoric on national television reinforces bigotry, fuels stigma, and endangers LGBTQ+ people. It increases hate crimes and marginalisation while distracting from the real sources of child abuse, which overwhelmingly occur in family and institutional settings by heterosexual men.

Meta’s removal of LGBTQ+ Pride themes from Messenger feels like erasure, especially as other themes remain. These designs symbolised belonging for marginalised communities. Representation matters. To the trans and non-binary community: You are seen, valued, and we stand with you. #InclusionMatters
