I hate that Tennessee isn't even in the conversation. I guess everyone thinks staying red red is a given. They're probably right, and I'm so sad. I want to live somewhere else.

Suggestions for responding to a hateful, hurtful letter from your 45 yo son...im leaning toward no response cause he's a master gaslighter and twists every word, and im just basically tired.

The Cincinnati Bengals didn't seem all that impressed with JD Vance during his visit today. A few acknowledged him, while others just kept walking right past him. Mercado Media

obviously many more important takeaways from the French approach to protest, but much respect to the absolute varsity level Whimsy of throwing a whole ass piano at the cops

Dear filmmakers. I'm begging you, please do subtitles or something SO WE CAN READ THE TEXTS you seem so keen on filming. Pausing it and walking up to the tv to try to read doesn't do it. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Last night's Jon Stewart with Jacob Coxon is a must see/hear interview. I just keep thinking about War Games, "shall we play a game?" only it will be real instead of not real.

I love watching bad horror movies on Tubi, and today's special sold me with this review... "loved this movie! But I was bored and drinking. My popcorn was more intellectually stimulating, but it was 3 am and only infomercials to watch."

60 years ago my dad, who would launch into monologues of thought at dinner, talked about how the most destructive and terrifying thing would be a king Kong sized toddler in diapers trampling the world.

Watching The Birds. I think this was my 1st scary movie. 1963 would make me 3rd or 4th grade. The Time Machine too. Crushed on Rod Taylor. Don't remember being in a theater but I cant imagine these on TV then. These films hold up!

Jon Stewart on the USS Lincoln and us. "This ship, a symbol of American might and Ingenuity, technical know how, Patriotic determination, laid low by prolonged exposure to relentless corrosive elements, reckless mismanagement....

.....This!! Do you see? It's not the USS Lincoln, it's just US!. We're the ship. This is what we look like as Americans inside after 18 months of this presidency."

I'd look forward to a candidate who never once mentions the opponent and simply runs on their own strengths and ideas. I'm not sure I've ever seen this.

So strange to think there are people who didn't experience 9/11 in one way or another or dont even know about it. Seems like yesterday.

I'd forgotten how great The Outsider is. Cynthia Erivo, amazing. Ben Mendelsohn is right there with her. God, I love Stephen King. ❤️

The U.S. Mint had released a new $1 coin featuring the image of a simpleminded gargoyle. With inadvertent candor-through-incompetency it also commemorates the end of LIBERTY in 2026. That will probably be true if we don’t take the midterms.

Maybe Tim Curry set this in motion, but I got in an It mood, but the It's I'm watching are not his. Watched Chapters 1 and 2 of the film (I'd completely forgotten the great cast in 2), and now .....

.....I'm watching the series It: Welcome to Derry, and going back to 60s Derry is simply brilliant and really fun for this old 60s girl. Got me thinking about growing up in Miami and hiding under our desks. We didn't need a clown. So it's just me and Pennywise today.

Mike Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House is the best ghost story ever filmed, imo. It also explores the depths of family, death, and grief like very few. My other favorite of his is Midnight Mass. He also did Life of Chuck. His vision is poetry and comforts my sad little grieving soul.

Yup. TN loves to screw themselves.

Cleaned my oven for the first time in probably 15 years. It was an all day disgusting job. But I'm proud of myself. Doing things that need doing is not my forte.

Dumb question possibly...when did Democrats stop being considered left or liberal. I still align myself with all 3 but the articles I read have me perplexed. Was it around the same time we (boomers) started being blamed for everything in spite of our hard work in the 60s and 70s?
