It appears that #spinlessJohnCornyn, the tone deaf Senator who posed for pictures in front of Trump Burger in H-town last week, has removed the ability to send his office a message on the mobile version of his website. Spineless indeed!

I couldn’t be there, but I did wear my Fuck Trump shirt everywhere I went yesterday. Otto Folio on Etsy has some great choices, plus tea towels. Good for a Mother’s Day gift — hint, hint.

I can’t be the only one mad as hell that my representatives in Congress are spineless John Cornyn, soulless Ted Cruz, and senseless Keith Self. Why do Texans keep voting for these three??

The perfect summary for this administration’s trade policy!

Rep. Steven Horsford to Greer: "So the trade representative hasn't spoken to the POTUS about a global reordering of trade, but yet he announced it on a tweet? WTF! Who is in charge? It looks like your boss just pulled the rug out from under you. There is no strategy ... is this market manipulation?"

If one there had been a way to predict china’s response.🤷‍♀️ This is history classes should be taken seriously.

Retaliate, de-escalate, or wait -- that is what is being debated in countries on the receiving end of Wednesday's US tariff announcement. Just now, China opted for retaliation. It will impose 34% tariff surcharges on all US goods as of April 10. US stock futures are down 2% on the news and oil 5%.

One of our town’s founding families lost 1 child a year for 5 years to smallpox. Vaccines could have saved those parents the heartache and grief of burying most of their children.

Because of the pay gap, women have lost out on more than $60 trillion in wages since 1967. Yes, trillion. On an hourly basis, women were paid 18.0% less on average than men in 2024. We must ensure fair wages for all.

Absolutely heartbreaking!

“One young man sobbed when a guard pushed him to the floor. He said, ‘I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.’ I believed him. *** He “began to whimper,” as his head was roughly shaved, “folding his hands in prayer as his hair fell.” He “asked for his mother & cried as he was slapped again.”

This used to be our goal as Americans. I miss those days.

Is anyone else having flashbacks to when they were an American student in the UK during W’s administration, and our sponsoring organization recommended we sew Canadian flags to our backpacks?

“…the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerated the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power.” - FDR, 1938

Terrifying!

Peter Thiel backs the Hallow prayer app, which is now promoting “The Way,” a book composed by Josemaría Escrivá, the initiator of Opus Dei. Leonard Leo (Federalist Society, Teneo) reportedly belongs to Opus Dei. 1/

Color me shocked.🙄

Rep. McCormick appears to be a snowflake.

My newest tactic with John Cornyn’s office…I hear Ken Paxton plans to primary you. Let him have it & retire. You’d be 80 at the end of the next term anyway. You really want to be Diane Feinstein or Kay Granger? Retire and vote your conscience as a lame duck like Mitch.

Finally some good news!
