I’m so proud of how these came out! I hope to keep offering them when I open my shop. Copper, brass, and sterling silver. #silversmith #metalwork

Cool my mom came by to bring us bread and then spent the rest of her visit trying to warn me about the dangers of democrats and immigrants and trans people 2/10 (the bread is REALLY tasty)

Right after I finished telling Ansel that not every drive thru we go to is going to feed her, the pharmacy lady asked if she could give her a treat This is the face of a pup who always gets what she wants

I got three orders for this copper, brass and sterling beanie baby tag today!! I’m always happy when people like my work, esp when they’re willing to pay me! #silversmith #metalwork

I made/finished several pieces today! I’m not usually a mixed metals on one piece kind of person, but it worked really well for the beanie baby tag. Silver, brass, and copper. Hessonite garnet, citrine, and two hubei turquoise cabs. Big teardrop is old stock poppy hill! #silversmith #metalwork

I backed my first couple of turquoise cabs - they arrived polished but really uneven, not suitable for setting. The larger one needs some more sanding, but does sit evenly now. They’re not as nearly as clean as the white buffalo I purchased, but they’ll set just the same. #silversmith #turquoise

I’ve been so miserable from new meds that I haven’t even looked at my studio door all week I wanna make stuff but I’m currently just a sad sack of sleep and GI problems 😭😭😭

Prototype for a project I probably won’t get to make for real til next year 🤪 but slowly working it out! #silversmith #metalwork

Several of the hubei turquoise I ordered really need to be backed before they can be set, so with audacity, YouTube, and JB Weld I’m gonna give it a shot

I dropped a bolt down my engine air scoop while changing the battery but because I’m a Car Girlie™️ I was able to remove it 😌 (If you’re a mechanic pls laff but I felt really accomplished ok)

I gave myself half an hour this morning and got the star blanks cut and the speech bubble stamped and cut. I’m going to refine the bubble so it fits a bit better before soldering, but it was exactly what the design needed! #silversmith #metalwork

Side note, I can’t find punctuation stamps from this manufacturer and I’m annoyed about it. I made it work here using the I letter stamp and my point punch but I’m still grumpy lol

The number of people changing lanes in the middle of an intersection correlates with the return of students to campus, but most of the culprits are old people PSA don’t do that it’s super dangerous

I need a new case for my tablet, but I just know the second I buy one it’ll fail catastrophically and I’ll have to buy a new one I really want to get a full decade out of it lol - I’m just two years away!

I don't think the new oot will have the same retrospective "that was brilliant actually" as ww's style did, but I did just see a take that compared it to Roccoco and high fantasty illustration that did shift my mind on it a little bit.

Waterfall Proper pictures of this necklace, finally. I’m really pleased with them - got some good tips on how to improve from last time! #silversmith #metalwork #productphotography

Brain say make stuff, so I make stuff. Pietersite and WIP dendritic agate with pierced backplate. Pietersite is available! #silversmith #metalwork

I didn’t file the top left corner down enough so I’ve got some refinement to do, but I got the initial setting done for this pietersite! #silversmith #metalwork

I took a hard fall on Wednesday and haven’t been able to work in the studio at all, but I get to give my coworker her retirement present today and I’m hoping she likes it ahhhhhhhh

Normally making fun of someone's passing is in bad taste but I think Tim Curry of all people would be someone who would actually appreciate this.

I took two silversmith classes this week, and made my first pieces! Also, I met the shop cat and he let me give him skritches.

Dolly Parton, among a thousand other amazing things she did in her life, gifted over 330 million books to kids through her Imagination Library program. Her passing is a tremendous loss to the world, but you can support the program today to keep it going imaginationlibrary.com

Updated photos of this pendant. I swapped for seamless paper and it was much cleaner. Also starring a cool piece of petrified wood from my cool rock collection. I love when my hobbies intersect. #silversmith #metalwork

Practice rings for our wedding bands My partner’s ring size fits my middle finger, and my ring finger and thumb are almost identical, so I can wear these practice pieces as part of my normal jewelry (I’m not superstitious but I am a littlestitious) #silversmith #metalwork

why is copper so irritating to work with ;-; it needs SO much heat and/or I'm just an idiot because I could protype this bracelet in sterling in half the time if I had the silver to spare bumping an oxy-propane torch way up the list jfc

The problem with the pokopia DLC is that now in all the other environments I keep trying to swim upward and being mildly irritated I can’t 😂

I didn’t paint and attach thousands of individual popcorns to model trees just so you could tell me that AI is “inevitable”

Jim Henson didn’t muppeteer a tiny green frog that was singing and playing the banjo, with rubber gloves while totally submerged underwater in a airtight aluminum tank just so you could tell me that AI is “inevitable”.

If you don’t heat up the los it’s less like someone ripped a huge fart and more like la croix if they dropped a rotten egg flavor. If you work in a small area like me, I recommend room temp. I think it took like 10-15 minutes to get an acceptable patina, so it really doesn’t require heat at all!
