I would take more seriously the people promoting the idea of AI consciousness if they first materially grappled with the (much more obvious) consciousness of animals and how that affects our moral obligations to them.

Feminism and Veganism have such a broad overlap. Male animals are often killed shortly after birth, but female animals (hens, cows, ewes, sows) are bred into a life of suffering not only to be exploited for their secretions, but to perpetuate that same cycle. Respect women. Eat plants. #GoVegan
