This is very very big. Like a big deal and massive cuts. These can’t even be seen as budgetary since you don’t get much savings in the context of trillions budget. They want the US out of R&D out of science research.

I have two cousins with small kids in Minneapolis. They actually had Tim Walz as a high school teacher 20ish year ago. When he joined politics I asked and they told me he's always been genuinely good person.

When asked this week how they were doing one described an occupied city, raids shutting down businesses and daily life, brown neighbors making plans for if they are targeted and that they cry every night. Don't look away from Minnesota.

My mom is more badass than Hegseth could ever dream of. She was in the 4th class of women at the Air Force Academy, served 22 years and led missions all over the world in the name of the open skies treaty

Senator Patty Murray@murray.senate.gov

Pete Hegseth is the least qualified Defense Secretary we've ever had and his open contempt for women in the military is a slap in the face to those who have put their lives on the line to keep us safe.

🧵I'm American. Raised by two veterans. I just want to do botany and entomology to help my local ecosystems thrive. Go home to my husband and cats and have kids someday. I've been protesting Trump for over ten years. Over a third of my life.

I was laid off after asking too many DEI questions of the Danish company I was a scientist at. I was drnied unemployment because i turned down a job full of safety violations. I'm in a community protest band, I call my representatives, I try to educate. It's like screaming at a wall.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's son was pulled over by ICE and forced to prove he is an American. Two options: 1) ICE deliberately targeted him. 2) ICE is stopping all non-White people without any probable cause and forcing them to prove they are citizens. Hard to say which option is scarier.

This is who she was. Passionate in her beliefs. Fiercely loyal to her friends. Never afraid to let you know exactly where she stood. The best. Fun Fact: I remember arguing with her over which of us hated Piggy the most. I was sure I did. She disagreed. It remains unresolved...

This Veterans Day, I’m thinking of the millions of Americans who have served in uniform — and how our government is failing them right now. Words aren’t enough, we need actions. Fund the VA. Fund mental healthcare. And end endless wars.

I hope you all know that we wouldn’t have modern science and technology without autistic people. For every single piece of tech you enjoy, from cellphones to clothing, antibiotics and water sanitation, I can promise you: at some point along the way there was an autistic person who made it possible.

I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".

I'm curious fellow Americans, what was your first brush with gun violence, or encounter for many less privledged than I? I was in kindergarten outside D.C. during the DC Sniper attacks. I just remember not being allowed to go outside for recess for a while.

At 16 I was taking college classes. One day the lecturer suddenly stopped and asked a man standing in the back if he needed something. He was in a trench coat and sunglasses. A wave of panic spread through the hall. I texted my parents I loved them. He was eventually removed by security.

At 19 I was at college band camp week when I heard about the Freeman High School shooting. I went to a bathroom and cried for a while. I'd grown up playing then in sports, spent the previous summer doing river restoration work in the area. Not even a blip on the national news.

At 15 I was so excited to see the new batman movie. I went in costume to a three movie marathon that ended in the midnight premiere. The next day I learned people like me had been slaughtered at a theater in CO.

Hi. I’m the executive director of the organization that had the honor of hosting the FEMA Katrina Declaration and I can confirm this is a lie. NICE TRY, KRISTI! @standupforscience.bsky.social @atrupar.com

O'Keefe to Noem: "At least 20 people who signed this letter were current FEMA employees & they've been placed on administrative leave. Is it now the policy of DHS that anytime an employee puts their name on something criticizing you or POTUS, they should anticipate being put on leave or fired?"

Attempting to rig elections on his behalf. Turning the military on citizens. Toying with the idea of declaring martial law. Attacking political enemies and punishing those who speak out against his regime. If this were happening in another country, what would you call it?
