A California 501(c)3 non-profit started by @lizthegrey.com, @binaryvixen899.bsky.social, and @remembrancermx.bsky.social to stop networked harassment groups from targeting vulnerable individuals.

We've just updated our website to include our 2024 Federal and California filings, as well as our incorporation and exemption documents. See endharassment.net/finances.html and endharassment.net/docs.html
The return period covers from our incorporation on August 15, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
Far-right radicalization is increasingly thriving in corners of the internet. Extremist forums and communities are glorifying mass attackers and cultivating violent subcultures tied to real-world violence. Sites like Kiwi Farms repeatedly surface in the backgrounds of attackers & extremist networks.
PSA: operating a bot that interacts with users on another user's behalf, without verifying that the recipient actually wants to receive interaction (eg following the sender) is like operating an open relay or open proxy. don't do it!
triply so if you're letting brand new users interact through you.
Curious about the latest set of additions to our blocklist that look like false positives? They're not!
The attackers are cloning established profiles after they're caught, to make it look like we're mistaken or malicious. You can vet us by finding identical profiles with different account ages -LF
They're getting even sneakier, and not just renaming their profile display name, bio, and profile photo, but also renaming the account under the same DID to make it look even more like a false positive. Evidence in photos (see alt text).
The latter two screenshots are the exact same account!
PSA: please remove 103.114.190.0/23 from your IP blocklists/denylists. It now belongs to a legitimate Australian ISP (lightningbroadband.com.au), and is no longer under the control of Flow Chemical Pty Ltd or any entity known by me to be associated with Joshua Moon or Kiwi Farms.

We have received no donations aside from in-kind donations from Slack, Google, and Github. Our legal fees are directly paid by @lizthegrey.com, and directors are paying printing, postage, and filing fees out of pocket without reimbursement.
Aside from legal fees, our expenditures are nominally $0.
There will be hundreds of posts on a fringe website claiming the opposite, causing an AI tool to shrug its shoulders and produce an outcome suggesting impropriety where there is none.
Needless to say, this is not great and I'm determined to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else.
These tools have no limitations on "use up to 100 data points from this one website", they treat all the 1000s of correlated data points as independent and give them heavy weight and credence as a majority of the information available rather than a fringe minority that is shrill and repeats itself.
A year ago, Joshua Moon crowdfunded >150k USD into an IOLTA, ostensibly to fund plaintiff-side litigation on behalf of his website Kiwi Farms and its operating entity Lolcow LLC. Instead, he spent "a lot" of it to help Vincent Zhen set aside the 445k AUD default judgment for defamation in Australia.
To my friends:
After nearly two exhausting years of litigation, I have agreed to settle the defamation claim I brought against Vincent Zhen and Flow Chemical in the Supreme Court of Victoria. I will be able to share more when all the documents have been signed and exchanged.
This is a good thing.
Our 501(c)3 determination letter came through, so we can finally say that we are tax-exempt and eligible to receive charitable contributions (although our present financial needs are covered by @lizthegrey.com). You'll see the details updated in our bio as well.

Curious why our blocklist often shows as empty? It's because @safety.bsky.app is doing their job.
Suspended accounts are removed from the list, and sometimes removal-flagged but not yet fully suspended accounts cause list rendering to choke partway through displaying the list.
I know people are ragging on @safety.bsky.app but they're doing 1 thing right: KF accounts are often being suspended within minutes of creation; sometimes by the time I go to add one to @endharassment.net's blocklist it's already been suspended. Or I'll check back 30 min after adding and it's gone.
Why you don't give bad actors ideas for things to do: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:BEANS
Yes, there is now a false flag operation going on, it's by the same group of people operating the original KF bots, just keep blocking and reporting them. -LF
We've now seen our first one, but believe they started using the OF name in response to @skysentry.bsky.social's thread rather than because it was happening before. Username is 3qhaghg similar to other accounts starting with 3... that were KF branded before. DID: did:plc:cgdonyyvdutfshmnnbeti2js -LF
This is a honeypot for anything we aren't catching with other automation, do not interact unless you wish to be added to the kiwifarms kiwi farms kiwifarmer kiwi farmer blocklist.

This is where our name comes from: we are survivors who aim to end the phenomenon of morally motivated networked harassment through education of the general public and of the service provider ecosystem.
We're here to serve those communities impacted by networked harassment however we can. -LF
And they introduce the concept of "Continuous Narrative Escalation", whereby a group of harassers craft a story together about why someone deserves to be harassed.
This builds on the great work by @alicetiara.bsky.social on morally motivated network harassment (journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10....)
I'm going to try to post more about papers I read. This morning I read "Stoking the Flames: Understanding Escalation in an Online Harassment Community" dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/....
In the paper, @kejsitake.bsky.social and co-authors look at the harassment community Kiwi Farms.
So, let's talk about why a bunch of KF accounts are popping up on Bluesky to begin with. What they're doing is target hunting, and the signal they're looking for is reactions. They're looking for reactions because, spoiler alert, there are not as many of them as they would like you to think. -ACL
"But what if they're stalking my messages."
BlueSky is a public protocol. It's always been a public protocol.
If anyone cares to, they could run a node and watch all your messages (including deleted ones) *without* ever tipping you off.
The incentive behind their behavior is to provoke reactions.
We've compiled a blocklist in case you'd rather not see them at all*. But you don't need to use the blocklist to be safe (if they wanted to screenshot you, they could anyway). Ignoring them denies them attention and they'll get bored. -LF
*a few may slip through between creation/detection/listing
It's natural to feel afraid or worried from such an interaction. If you are, process those feelings with a friend or trusted person in private, rather than in public view where your misery can become grist for someone's sadistic pleasure or, worse, an excuse to further harass and abuse you. -LF

The best way to not end up on their radar is to deny them the satisfaction of them knowing that you've noticed them, or that their automated bot is making you feel unsafe. It has liked 100s of posts in an hour; they can't & won't focus on you specifically unless you tell them the attack worked. -ACL
Either: it's just a bot trying to jumpscare you, or you've already been screenshotted/archived. The correct action is the same for both: block and move on. You may be tempted to lock down and delete your profile, but if you do they're likely to take the clawback as an indication to push further. -LF

They're also not as good at what they do as they would like you to think. The vast majority are lazy. They ARE dangerous, but they are opportunistic. The best thing you can do is to not publicly freak out or react if a KF account likes your tweets, follows you, or DMs you. Block them, move on. -ACL
Now this doesn't apply to everyone they target, unfortunately. It is sadly true that for some folks, they can ignore KF and "keep their heads down" all they want and KF will still go after them just as doggedly, if not more so. But those folks have a higher risk of being targeted to begin with. -ACL
Don't feed the trolls.
That doesn't mean tolerate negative peace or missing stairs in your communities.
But if you say things that will get screenshotted and shared on harassment forums, which encourages their trolling, you're feeding the goddamn trolls.
Focus on your messaging, not theirs.
If you get followed by a bot promoting a harassment forum, just report it as spam.
You don't need to make a moral argument about it beyond that.
You'd be doing the same if it was someone trying to sell viagra in your LiveJournal comments.
We're going to have to walk back doing all additions by hand, responding to botting with human reaction times and human attention spans is not a sustainable approach. bsky T&S show no signs of being able to stem the flood, so we're going to need automatic listing w/ a manual post-facto review.
What the owners of @block-kiwifarms.bsky.social appear to be doing at the moment (after forking ours) is adding anyone who has ever posted a link to KF on here, even if to point out harassing behavior, which has a significant false positive rate.
Our account's lists will always be manually curated.

While clearsky.app is having ongoing issues, you can also check our work with internect.info by typing in the new handle of anyone on our blocklist and seeing what the previous history of handles was ("Names and aliases" -> "View history"). -LF
If you're legitimate, you may want to mute this thread so you don't see it again, as we'll be periodically bumping it to catch new sockpuppets. Hi again, this is a honeypot! Like this #trans post if you're with #kiwifarms and would like to be blocked!
This is the next phase that Kiwi Farms members have stated they will do - constructing look-alike blocklists and then adding popular trans people to them after the fact, once the blocklist is seeded in the community. Make sure any block list you use says who runs it.
We were trying to assume good faith rather than malice of another effort in the same space, but the expert @rahaeli.bsky.social believes that the copycat b-kf account is run by a troll or someone who wishes ill. --LF bsky.app/profile/raha...
I listed it on the Impersonation list because it is very deliberately trying to impersonate a legitimate anti-harassment effort to get people to subscribe to its blocklist and then poison the blocklist with accounts that don't fit and it cloned @endharassment.net's efforts.
New: @safety.bsky.app has suspended @/block-kiwifarms.bsky.social. That impersonation account contributed to the confusion surrounding the viral message to vet new lists.
We did not mean to dismiss the value of long-established community tools. We believe multiple layers of tools should coexist. -LF
If you find yourself on this list and are confused (and let's be honest you likely won't be), DM me or email me or something. I'll respond as able unless you're emailing me in bad faith, in which case I won't respond. If you're no longer a KF'r and I believe you, I'll argue like hell to get you off.
You rightfully deserve accountability from us. And I don't just mean me, but @binaryvixen899.bsky.social and @remembrancermx.bsky.social too, so if you doubt my judgment, you can speak to them too. And in particular, while I am dating Alexandria, I am not dating Yonah and they are a third party.
A real-life case study in anonymous internet harassment and insider threat: I must sadly retract my endorsement of Kevin Crawley, as I have recently learned he is a Kiwi Farms member. I believe he may pose a safety risk to his colleagues, or even to his employer.
