Absolutely useless #GuildWars2 fun fact of the day: if you interact with a crafting station while you're mounted its name will change to something completely different

I would really be so happy if Mosyn got a spotlight as a Revenant stance. She is the founder of Nayos with the least focus—Febe was mentioned in the main story, Nephus himself appears, and Aurkus's emissary appeared in the final instance—but the impact of her death is HUGE.

And it could go either way: Aurkus is either a treacherous snake who whispered schemes into Eparch's ear to position himself and his Inquisitors (of which Kanaxai was one) as the strongest house in Nayos, and he wouldn't like Peitha's Nayos

I'm also convinced that Peitha bringing Labris to the Coliseum was influenced by this, intending for a symbolic execution to signal the end of Eparch's age just as Mosyn's execution was the end of a good era for the Kryptis

I hope Mosyn could also like...give us more founder lore. Especially Aurkus! I still think we could revisit Nayos one day with Aurkus as the primary villain Evidently the final situation in Nayos before Peitha's rebellion suited him—because his house alone out of the founder houses was intact.

Everyone probs knows by now that the official Chinese Guild Wars 2 account on Bilibili has been posting couplets related to each teaser icon And I wish to point out that 影 (shadow, reflection) and 千 (thousand) are both recurring words that show up in multiple places

Every few months I get what I like to call the evil urge to play Guild Wars 1, because it is genuinely such a good game and unmatched in gameplay but I am not that good at it and always end up having to focus really hard when playing it

I don't -hate- Janthir Wilds but as a whole it's...meh. Secrets of the Obscure was at least compelling throughout for me but JW had okay highs and low lows Most of what I liked in JW was Wizard stuff

I think Janthir Wilds is the least I've played a new release since I caught up in the story in GW2 I'm really not feeling this expac compared to how much fun SotO was and it bums me out that I'm starting to feel this extend to GW2 as a whole

To me this 2nd type is more important to avoid than the 1st. Once your classes all feel like they have the exact same playstyle to get the same end result is when things are really dire (Yes, I did come from a different mmo!)

And I understand why they view it this way, because originally classes were more specialized and thus felt unique. You would bring specific classes to achieve different things (which in practice players would just optimize into certain party comps)

And this just gets the people who don't view that as homogenization going "wtf are you talking about" because they view the word as meaning "homogenization in method" i.e. every class achieves the same results in the exact same way

From what I've observed, most people who talk about it mean "homogenization in results" i.e. every class has a path towards achieving the same buffs and roles, every class has a build that can be dps, adps, qdps, and healer
