Ah, the randomness of public transportation! Guy across the aisle on the metro, "ma'am, have you ever coached boxing?" Me: "no, I have not" ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

It's very convenient that my hotel in DC is around the corner from where B spent literally months working. He gave me all the food tips.

Synthetic isn't my favorite, but I will absolutely go. Skating is the only part of winter I miss.

Ice skating on the West Bank? Jefferson Parish Council approves $50k for synthetic rink. bit.ly/4B9j7xe

We had our 1st stolen package at the new house. I knew it was only a matter of time. I work form home 4 of 5 days and try to make sure I pick delivery windows that work, but of course the post office decides to leave an expensive package on the stoop on the one day of the week I'm not home. ๐Ÿ˜’

B has been saying since we moved in that he was going to build a box and refused to let me buy something. Time to move that up the project list.

Tonight was fun, and we're home and in bed at a decent hour. Also thankful I carry earplugs in my purse at all times because that show was so loud.

We purchased private flood insurance because it was cheaper than the NFIP. The system is definitely broken.

As someone with long legs and a butt, trying to find a new pair of pants is a PITA series of order-return, order-return, order-return. It feels so wasteful (not to mention a waste of my time), but nobody stocks talls/long inseam in store.

Between a run yesterday, gardening this morning, two days of riding a bike (after a year+ off), and sitting on the metal bleachers at Yulman, my entire lower half hurts.

This is a big loss for Carnival parades. Their band was great!

Watching Alton Brown make red beans and rice with homemade pickled pork is our nerdy fun for the evening. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿณ

I've been waiting on a live plant shipment that was supposed to arrive yesterday (even worked from home to be ready to receive), but it never arrived. Now it seems to be stuck in Olive Branch MS for a second day and may not arrive until tomorrow. I hope those babies survive! They were expensive!

I just moved from reading glasses to progressives, and I'm trying to give myself time to adjust, but I think the middle distance - which I need for computer-based work - is off. It's super frustrating to try to get work done wearing these!

I don't know why, but I just thought of the delicious mushroom toast from Mimi's. Ave Pub used to have one, as well. I wish I knew someplace that still had a version!

Between car repair, picking up custom framed posters, and picking up prescription eye and sunglasses, this has been the most expensive Friday in recent memory.

New Orleans people - does anyone have experience filing a title insurance claim? And/or getting a title company that screwed up a previous sale to maybe expedite a situation/pay damages for delaying a sale?

My car pings my phone when the door is left unlocked while parked, and since it is currently in the shop, I'm getting SO many notifications. At least I know they are working on it, I guess!

I just ran outside mid dishes to meet the neighbor's pet pig. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but you don't walk a pig to go unnoticed. ๐Ÿ– ๐Ÿช
