B is going to be selling negroni flavored and salted caramel flavored macaron at the Snake & Jake's event Wednesday 7-930. We'll also be selling books and stickers, Panchita's food truck will be selling authentic Vera Cruz cuisine, & Negroni + Bourdain's large-batch margarita specials at the bar.

If you teach print culture, this is a fantastic resource !! Amazing objects, fantastic essays and entries by Suzanne and a merry band of print scholars (including one from me!)

Happy Impressive Open Access Day! asu.pressbooks.pub/impressive-t... Textiles! Prints! 30 authors! Nearly 350 pages! A ridiculous number of pictures! *9,000 words of alt text!

Grew up w labs/goldens but 9/10 times an unleashed dog runs up and me, freaking out my dog, who I then have to scoop up - it’s one of these breeds. Owners always insist ‘oh they are friendly’ - dude, my dog is not and I’d rather she not get bitten back by yours. Leash your damn dog.

Some fun langiappe. New Orleans is close to making May 2016 primary early voting and is on track to meet other milestones such as the 2025 mayoral race and 2019 JBE runoff election. 🤞🏽in the 28-32k range after Saturday. Take a friend to a early voting second line!

Michele@geauxwithmichele.com

Day 3 (10/22 Results) Y'all still vote tho! Day/day increase 32%. Black voters overperforming (.59%). DEM voters overperforming (6.7%) but the lead is shrinking. Orleans #3 in vote count. District D winning in Orleans. Predicting Saturday turnout will pass Nov 2022 primary & possibly JBE 2019.

I don’t care if it’s a mirage. Leave it all on the floor. Vote, get your friends and neighbors to do so.

🚨NEW STORY🚨 Farmer Jamie Davis is closing the gap as he bids to be Louisiana’s first Black U.S. Senator since Reconstruction, leaving Julia Letlow without the sure victory Republicans had hoped for. "This is not going to be a slam dunk," a pollster warns. thelensnola.org/2026/10/23/j...

I’m going today. Get it done folks! There’s also second lines to the polls this weekend if you need a group and musical accompaniment!

Some amazing Good Samaritan found my walllet in the middle of the street and left it at my house. Everyone send Winston the best vibes (he left his name on a note but no number and I wish I could send him some $ but will settle for collective good will and my undying gratitude) ❤️ you Winston !!

“What has happened in business schools turned out to be the leading edge of a broader transformation: the corporatization of the university itself. Institutions now chase rankings, donors & corporate partnerships, tout their contributions to innovation & growth & treat everything else as overhead.”

Thiago Krause@thiagokrause.bsky.social

“The irony — and danger — is that in the age of A.I., the thinking fostered in the arts and humanities is increasingly urgent. The domination of business schools is not only physical and financial; it is intellectual, and it is crowding out liberal education.”

I have completed one procrasti-task (updating and writing new syllabi ) and I fear I must actually start work on the two essays that are due at the end of this term.

Let's go, Sam Forstag! That's how you stand up for trans people on the national stage. If congressional candidates in western Montana—one of the most competitive House races in the entire country—can stand up for trans folks in every aspect of our lives, democrats everywhere should take note.

Went to beachcorner - burger was HUGE and I got the special (pepper jack onion ring w habenero sauce ) lwhich was like 12 bucks. Win win win.

I am angry tonight. Because tonight ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.

Going to the punk show the night following a middle aged health procedure has got to be one of the least well thought thru decisions I have made but I am determined. Also I feel like Amyl and the sniffers will energize the heck out of me (*also please god let them go on by 9)

I've been immersed in research on Reconstruction in Lousiana and it's a very difficult truth to absorb that the white terrorist movement in the South was among the most successful terrorist movements in global history. Took 10 years but it won a total & complete victory through murder and atrocity.

I spent a year watching school administrators do their jobs—and interviewing the students most impacted. I spoke to @thecut.com in a long-form Q&A about what I saw. Mainly, a system designed to protect perpetrators and punish victims in each and every case.

Updating an old print seminar syllabus and actively seeking recommendations on any aspect of early modern print technology, materials, or anything cool you’ve read on printed text or image. I have a massive biblio and trying to shake things up

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward
