It's our pleasure to introduce two new watches that closely follow the original Pebble DNA. Both are available for pre-order starting today. - Core 2 Duo: black/white display, $149, ships in July - Core Time 2: 64 colour display, $225, ships in Dec Pre-order today at store.rePebble.com

Pebble watches last a loooooong time on a battery charge. But it depends on the watchface you pick! Some feature beautiful animations, which may slightly decrease battery life. Now you can view that impact on the Pebble appstore AND devs get insights on their app dashboard!

The Pebble appstore (apps.rePebble.com) now features - Top Charts of most used watchfaces (sort by publish date to see the newest up-and-coming apps/faces) - watchfaces now run live in the browser (on PebbleOS running in WASM)

Location Sharing plugin for Pebble and Index - gets data from your Google Maps and Apple Find My shared locations. I made it show biking/walking distance if they're closer by!

Pebble devs - we're working on something big for you ๐Ÿ‘€The biggest change to the SDK since...forever. Plugins: headless apps that provide data (eg weather, finance, traffic) or offer actions (home control, music, webhooks) to other apps, watchfaces and the Index agent.

They're written in JS and execute in the background on the Pebble app on your phone. Now, watchface devs don't need to hardcode in weather/stock/calendar/etc APIs into their face - they can display data from plugins (including built-in plugins like Weather and Calendar).

Think of it a bit like complications on Apple Watch except way more flexible and awesome. Index users can ask questions that get automatically routed to plugins ("What's on my calendar today?", "Unlock the front door"). Much more secure than web MCPs because each plugin runs locally on your phone.

enjoy this detailed write up about how teadrinker made this epic Pebble demoscene production teadrinker.net/blog/what-ti... also take the time to download it to your PT2 and try it yourself! apps.repebble.com/8e50961fc56f...

I saw a bunch of people complaining about WhatsApp desktop recently. If you're not using Beeper at this point, it's a skill issue. Fully local encrypted connections etc.

Enjoying this amazing hack that ports any Gameboy game to Pebble - brings me back to roadtrips with the OG gameboy and super marioland with no game saves so you had to play through the entire thing in one sitting! Make your own at pebboy.pages.dev

Doonesbury - 1999, prescient as usual. This is what I thought of when Muse and Instinct complained today that they can't access amazon.

I got a Pebble Index ring, and I made it so if I say "mayday" to the ring, my phone rings with a fake incoming call. Thanks @ericmigi.com for getting me out of awkward social situations.

Playing around with a feature that lets you fork Pebble OS, prompt an agent to customize it, and install it on your watch, all from inside the Pebble mobile app

@ericmigi.com While this is technically not dead, I think Iโ€™ll call it here because I like having notifications ๐Ÿ˜…. It is at 4% remaining, so it would have died on Monday the 31st. Which means the battery (would have) lasted 6 weeks on my super-battery-conservative settings!

Just created a location sharing plugin - gets data from Google Maps location sharing and Find My (people and airtags), you can ask questions to Index 01 like 'Where's my wife?' or 'Where's my keys?' Still will be a few weeks til we roll out plugins, but they're gonna be fun!

Index 01 plugin architecture is taking shape. basically you can write these little JS modules that read or write data to external connections. They're exposed to the Index agent using MCP. We'll add a plugin section on apps.repebble.com or you can sideload pbw

Haha, it's always wild to me that I've seen S1-3 and 4 (original cut) of Arrested Development literally 20 times but I've never seen the 2nd half of S5...

Huge @Pebble sw releases this week! Pebble app v1.11 + PebbleOS v4.36 - New weather app - Improved touch controls - 1000+ of emoji (no more []) - Album art and images-in-notifications (Android only) - Index 01: tons of new settings including webhook improvements, actions and many more improvements!

Plugins can offer two types of features: data sources (eg weather, traffic) and/or actions (eg Home Assistant, Spotify) Plugins can be a pipe to the service (eg send notes to Apple Notes, send reminders to Todoist) or expose capabilities to the Index agent that it can decide to use or not (ie MCP).

You can use these with Pebble watches as well - watchfaces and apps can interact with plugins as well! Very shortly watchfaces will no longer need to roll their own weather and other data sources, they can consume data from built in plugins, or 3rd party plugins

this is wild - claude code got PebbleOS booting in qemu in browser (wasm) overnight with no input from me. Took 6 hours in --dangerously-skip-permissions, but I woke up to success! you can now try PebbleOS in the browser here: ericmigi.github.io/pebble-qemu-... source: github.com/ericmigi/peb...
