Will the price go up after the pre order is over? Just asking because I have a principle to not buy pre orders and wait till the full reviews come out to make a decision.

It's got Pebble OS, Pebble app store, apps and watch faces are good, the timeline, buttons and navigation are awesome, screen is rocks in daylight, always on is awesome, 30 day battery is awesome. I tried the Amazfit BIP it had some of those things but was a poor experience. It's the whole package

This is amazing, thank you for bringing Pebble back! I still use my time round (silver and rose gold) but am down to my last few due to battery bubble issues. It’s my only and favorite watch, suitable for every day or nice events. I’ll definitely be buying one of these but hope the round comes back

Ordered a CT2! I am holding out hope that you can add the barometer and it is not too much hassle. I prefer the metal of the CT2, but even if not I still look forward to the watch!

That Core Time 2 was an instant buy for me! My only feature request for potential future versions (since I imagine these are locked in for h/w) is supporting NFC payments, though I imagine that's not straightforward. In any case, congrats on the launch and thanks for reviving the spirit of Pebble!

Update: I saw this was answered in the Reddit AMA, that NFC payments are unfortunately too difficult to do with such a small team, which is definitely understandable

Just ordered! I’m guessing since it’s all open source should be pretty easily to write something to connect via Bluetooth and get the step counts off of it? Something I’ve wanted for a long time in a smart watch instead of going through phone apps

(There was the whole "See the code that powered the Pebble smartwatches" partial open-sourcing by Google [https://opensource.googleblog.com/2025/01/see-code-that-powered-pebble-smartwatches.html]; I'm curious about how this relates to the new devices.)

I understand that the situation may be complicated; and I decided on Pebbles before, without all of the components being open-sourced, so it's not a determining factor. (Though, pragmatically, I suspect the more that is open-source, the better for everyone, in terms of community being able to help.)

Any chance the "standard pebble charger" has been updated to have a usb c end instead of the increasingly-rare USB A? And is it a cradle-style charger like the Time Round (and maybe the other Times but idk I only had the Round)? Also is the Round ever coming back? 👀

These look fantastic! Are you able to share any insights on the repairability of these devices? Recently replaced a battery in my pebble steel fairly easily and curious if these devices were early repairable too?

How about the Google fit integration. It was working in the original Pebble until recently. Do you think this will be fixed? Is this just an issue with the fact that the app is so old it isn't trusted by Google anymore? Once a new app is created, it will just work?

CONGRATS! Pre-ordered! Did you name the Core 2 Duo after the Intel CPU? Also, the only knock I'm seeing is continued concerns about the buttons on the Core 2 Duo. The watch will keep working long after the buttons do, which is always sad, even if it lasts longer than the Pebble 2 HR. So excited tho

oh dam hello bought an OG pebble on ebay a few years ago after watching a youtube video about them nice to see the company resurrecting itself, maybe there will finally be a market i can buy a repalcement strap from

"one less thing to charge. It's annoying to need extra cables when traveling" Why not use some standard charging like USB-C or Qi? IK you said easier/cheaper to use the Pebble and hope 30 days makes it a non-issue...but if you lose/break charger or pins on the watch itself you have no alternative

Garmins: transflective, buttons, anyone can develop widgets, faces, data fields. 4-6w battery life, gps, ant, btle plus everything pebble has except a mic. And cheaper Whined in your blog "3rd party devices can't interact with iOS notifications." I dismiss notifications w/mine several times a day…

I also had this question--one of my favorite things about Pebble was that it *didn't* have a teeny tiny little touchscreen. Is there a way to disable the touchscreen, or can we get more info on how the touchscreen is intended to be used?

Eric, thanks for being back! I funded the first pebble and wore my pebble time steel until it broke. I'm so looking forward to the preordered core time 2, and still im a bit das there's no time steel 2 variant. Anyway, I'm so looking forward to go back to my favorite watch faces and features! :)

That's so cool! Quick question, are you planning on making a Pebble Time successor too? I like the pebble, but I daily the pebble time and it would feel like a downgrade to go back to the old pebble design.

Who manufactures the e-paper display you're using in the Time 2? I've not come across one that small with 64 colours and a refresh rate that high! Would love a model number if you can share it

per the blog post they managed to get a hold of the batch of displays that were a custom part from JDI for the (cancelled) Pebble Time 2; JDI no longer makes transflective displays at all

Ordered one of each! Seriously, there are too few labors of love. Bought it for that reason alone. Feature request: some sort of GPS tether in the phone app so someone smarter than me can hook up with Strava/Runna type APIs. Then I can leave my Garmin on the dresser!

Love my Pebble Time Steel. Still using. My concern with the Time 2 is the touch screen. I run with my watch. I'm a bit concerned about accidental screen touches with wet fingers when running (or other times). Worried a touch screen is actually worse. Thoughts? @ericmigi.com

Is there any information about battery quality/safety improvements from older Pebbles? Every time I sing the praises of the Pebble in front of my wife, she’s sure to remind me of when my Time Steel gave me a second degree burn when the battery died.

DANG! This is exciting! Really really want the Core Time 2 but the wait will be agony hahaha!! Hopefully there will be some available around launch so I can get it then! Definitely going to pre-order the Core 2 duo (nice naming too! R.i.p. black macbook 😛) Heck yeah!

Just pre-ordered! So excited. *Please please please* make the 3rd color match the original PTS silver color. It's classy, classic, and would match my amazing PTS original band. Pleeeeeease and thank you 🙏🙏🙏

Woohoo! > More reliable buttons (up to 30% longer lifetime in testing) This is unfortunate though. My first one lasted about a year, and 1.3 years is still not nearly long enough. But I'm glad that Core Time 2 has metal buttons instead!

Based on his other tweet, it seems like they mean it will last for 30 percent more presses, mechanically. It doesn't seem like they understood that the problem was the plastic itself and not the mechanics lol

I understand that the focus is not on fitness tracking, but I hope that the few features, like sleep and step tracking, are at least accurate. The OG Pebbles have been very disappointing with those features.

Having a hard time choosing between the white and black Core 2 Duo... How likely is it there will be more color options in the future? IMO a gray one would be 🔥

Eric! Ultimately I chose the metal one because of the buttons on the Pebble 2. My Pebble 2 buttons lasted about 1.5 years. I know you probably though about doing hard plastic buttons and had some problem getting that to be the chose on the Core 2 Duo, but that's what made me get the Core Time 2.

Cool! A shame that the Pebble OG hw design language won over the Pebble Time's. That's a dealbreaker for me. I'll wait and hope for your success so that a Time-like version might arrive — and for it to hopefully be in EU stores one day. Only 1 month warranty against manf defects is upsetting.

I understand the perspective, Pebble 2 (c2d) looks much better than the original, even better in person. I dig the Time also, but I got the Pebble Steel recently, it's pretty awesome looking too (hadn't gotten one before because thought it would look bad). I'm withholding judgement until I touch it.

I hope these are available later through a direct purchase! The only way it's viable for me as a Brazilian to get these is if someone I know is travelling to the US. Right now tariffs on imports are completely insane... I could buy a galaxy watch for the same price, but I want a Pebble ;-;

> It's highly likely that worldwide tariffs will change between now and when we start shipping. If tariffs change dramatically, we will pass these costs along to you and require further payment, even for US orders. 😱 Any possibility for direct-to-Canada bulk shipment and distribution, bypassing US?

Yeah, there is an insane person here right now. Hopefully we can rectify this soon, really appreciate Canadians right now ❤️ We hate this more than you, fighting from the inside.

Is this initial wave of pre-orders the only way this product will be available or will there be other rounds of pre-orders/available inventory on an official “launch” date?

Hi, can you please check your payment provider or add additional payment methods (e.g. bank transfer)? I tried two credit cards (Mastercard, from Austrian banks), both have been declined.
