This is regular news, cause the DNC is trying to choose a replacement candidate themselves instead of letting voters decide.

We shouldn't dismiss the desecration of our republican iconography and civic symbols as gross but ultimately trivial. It goes to the heart of his whole project, the hot molten core of what he wants to destroy about America. It's not just generically authoritarian, it's literal Caesarism.

In 2029 tee up a 600-900 member House of Representatives with multiparty proportional representation for the '30 midterms so we can have these fights like a normal democracy last month in @liberalcurrents.com www.liberalcurrents.com/proportional...

Thirteen Democratic House members and candidates announced their support for a centrist initiative aimed at pushing back against the party’s tilt toward democratic socialism.

Handful of detainments here by the reflecting pool. They are being done a variety of officers, including Monroe County Sheriff, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma State Police, US Marshals, a county in Texas I can’t make out, and a county in New York I can’t make out.

The LA election discourse is a good reminder that Democrats are overly process focused and build well intentioned systems that move far too slowly, whereas Republicans are really stupid.

The thing about “Bluesky is a bubble” takes is that they start with the false assumption that social media is our job or some sort of responsibility. This isn’t my job. It’s probably not yours, either. It’s not our responsibility to ruin our days on a Nazi hellsite or to talk to dummies here.

Seems to me that this would open the door to invalidating Trump II entirely using the 14th

Not only that: The interpretation would also invalidate executive and judicial appointments made during the Biden Administration. Nullify two years of Democratic control of the Presidency and Congress with “one neat trick”

This obviously not Bsky's *fault* or the fault of anyone on it. (This obsession with how to apportion blame is one of the weirder aspects of this particular pile-on.) And obviously it's not going to help anything for people to go back to X! It's toxic. More people should leave it!

The Bosco Verticale project in the new Milanese district of Porta Nuova is a prototype of the so-called vertical forest in the city, completed in 2014. On two residential high-rises grow 800 trees, 4500 shrubs and around 20 thousand plants of about a hundred of various species

You do have to hand it to them. Held firm and got a win.
