An honor, Mr. President. Thank you for your words of encouragement, your advice, your example, and your leadership. I hope to make you proud as Attorney General.

President Obama knows the stakes this fall—and knows how important it is to elect our statewide Democratic ticket in Michigan. An absolute honor to share the stage with him tonight. Yes. We. Can!

EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING STARTS TODAY! And yep, Kerry Washington is out sporting our pin at the early voting site at the Northwest Activities Center in Detroit. Make sure you have a plan to vote on or before November 3!

I’m so honored to have the support of Wayne County Executive Warren Evans. With just 11 days left to go, make sure you have a plan to vote on or before November 3. Let’s go!

Love seeing our AFT family on the road! So great to catch up with AFT member Eli Savit, a former teacher & current prosecutor & protector of the right to vote, who’s running for Michigan attorney general, while on the #AFTvotes bus tour!

I’m honored to have the support of Oakland County Executive David Coulter. 18 days left—make sure you have a plan to vote on or before November 3!

Our next Attorney General must uphold our laws, fight the Trump regime's overreach and protect the rights and safety of all Michiganders. @EliNSavit "is the most qualified candidate to assume the responsibilities of this role." www.michigandaily.com/opinion/edit...

Thank you so much to Sen. Mark Kelly and Rep. Gabby Giffords for launching a canvass with us this afternoon in Midland! An honor to be with two courageous American heroes, and so grateful for their support. Let’s go!

Even though I’m 6’4, a couple members of our ticket admittedly stand taller than me. Looking (up) at you, Garlin Gilchrist for Secretary of State and Abbas Alawieh for State Senate. But we all stand strong for UAW & its working men and women. Great to join Region 1A this afternoon.

If Justice Alito retires, he could well be replaced by a 40-year-old ultra-conservative. It’s no overstatement to say the next 50 years of American jurisprudence are on the ballot this fall. To provide a check on Trump’s nominees, we need a Democratic Senate. Vote accordingly.

The race for Attorney General is about who will fight for you. I’ve taken on polluters, predators, and the President himself. I’ve fought for your rights—and will always do so as AG. I’ve got your back.

BREAKING: The Detroit Free Press—Michigan’s largest newspaper—just endorsed us for AG, calling it the “most important race” in Michigan. This race is about protecting our rights, & standing up to powerful interests. I’ve fought those fights throughout my career. And I’ll do so as AG.

The race for Attorney General is fundamentally a job application process in which candidates are vying to be your lawyer. It’s not about me. Not about my opponent. It’s about you—and who’s going to fight for you against even the most powerful of interests.

It’s unconscionable to think that the biggest corporations on the planet would ask residential ratepayers to shoulder their electricity costs. That they’d deplete our natural resources. Or that we’d allow them to bully local communities. I’ll stand up as AG.

Michigan ratepayers deserve an AG who’ll fight for them—not just offer lip service. That means an AG who’ll turn down utility money, & stand against distorting influence of money in politics. And it means being willing to stand up to the President himself. Full debate link in comments ⬇️.

TOMORROW! Tune in to our Attorney General debate on WDIV Flashpoint at 10 AM. Channel 4 in Detroit, streaming on WDIV. Don’t miss it!

Voting in Michigan starts TODAY, with mail-in ballots dropping! Make sure you have a plan to vote on or before November 3!

Trump is trying to force an old, inefficient coal-fired power plant to remain open in west Michigan—and ratepayers are going to be asked to shoulder the excess costs. Make no mistake: I’ll continue fighting for ratepayers, our health, and the environment as AG.

I was honored to receive such a warm welcome from MEA retirees in Lansing today! As Attorney General, I’ll always fight for kids, educators, and public schools—as well as the retirees who dedicated their careers to building a brighter future.

Tonight—thanks to the efforts of AG Nessel & Democratic AGs across the nation—SCOTUS rejected Trump’s efforts to disenfranchise voters, & rewrite the rules in the middle of an election. As AG, I’ll continue fighting to ensure our elections are free, fair, & final. My statement.

25 years ago, our nation suffered a catastrophic wound. Today in Ann Arbor, we marked the 25th anniversary of 9/11 by ringing the firehouse bell, and reading the names of every first responder who was killed. We must never forget the victims, the heroes—and those who were both.

“The Michigan Mamdani” 😱. For some reason, that’s what national Republican groups who are trying to buy Michigan’s elections are calling me. They must mean—like Mamdani—I’m obsessed with lowering costs, safer communities, and ensuring everyone can afford to eat at great local businesses. Right?

The MSU Dems are fired up for an Attorney General that will hold everyone accountable when they break the law—even the most powerful of interests. I’ve done it before. And I’m ready to go.

Do you want an Attorney General who will fight every day "to prevent corporations from ripping people off (and) stop polluters from poisoning our air and water, and to protect every Michigander’s rights"? Yes? Then the only choice is @esavit.bsky.social. planetdetroit.org/2026/09/mich...

planetdetroit.orgHow Michigan attorney general race could reshape utility regulation, ratepayer protectionMichigan's next attorney general will decide whether to continue Dana Nessel's work challenging utilities over rate hikes and environmental issues.

There’s only one candidate in this race that refuses corporate and utility contributions. And only one candidate who’s pledged, unambiguously, to stand with Michigan families suffering from ever-higher electrical costs. (It’s me). Full story from Planet Detroit ⬇️

Hate has no home in Michigan. That’s true if it’s criminals targeting communities. Or if it’s politicians using our differences to divide us. We are stronger together, stronger as one. My remarks in Dearborn yesterday.

The Supreme Court just allowed the Trump Administration to move forward with plans to restrict mail-in voting. Fights remain. Democratic AGs will continue leading them. But make a backup plan to vote now. And in November, remember who’s trying to take so much away from you.

Bad actors that take advantage of Michiganders—and make life even less affordable—must be stopped. I’ve done it before. And I’ll do it as AG.

Will I stand up for Michigan ratepayers against the utilities? You bet. And you can know that my loyalty will always be with Michigan residents—because I don’t take utility money.

Thank you, UAW Region 1 retiree delegates, for welcoming me to your meeting yesterday! Great meeting so many people—and sharing our vision for how the AG’s office can stop scams, fight for the working class, & preserve the American Dream so many UAW retirees fought to build.

An honor hosting the incredible, inspirational Gabby Giffords in Detroit for a pair of roundtables on gun violence. Grateful to all who participated, and proud to work alongside so many dedicated leaders who are committed to ending gun violence in our communities.

Congress’s efforts to regulate cryptocurrency must include basic safeguards—including preserving the ability to hold bad actors accountable, and ensuring that the President cannot profit from markets the government regulates. My op-ed in the Detroit News (link in comments).

We care about each other, and that’s what unites us as Democrats. I have never seen a Democrat call to cut healthcare, food assistance, or to sacrifice their constituents’ well-being out of fealty to this President. That’s why I’m proud to be a member of this party—and coalition—today & every day.

Todd Blanche was confirmed early this morning as US Attorney General—after promising to take abortion bans nationwide. Not on my watch. Michigan voters made the choice to defend reproductive freedom. And as Michigan AG, I will defend that choice—and the choices of every woman.

Tonight, the Michigan Dems came together. We rallied, laughed, and highlighted our collective vision. And we committed to redoubling our efforts to win in November—and build a fair and just future for all of Michigan. Let’s go!

Thought Michigan’s battle for reproductive freedom was over? Think again. Trump’s anti-choice AG said “victory will be soon and permanent.” Not on my watch. In ‘22, I fought to secure abortion rights in Michigan. You can bet I’ll be in court fighting for repro rights as AG.
