I saw some comments that it's too hard and is trying to be a Soulslike and some people got stuck on the boss for hours. But like, no? I got it on the 3rd try. It's not a Soulslike just because it has a flask system and the boss doesn't fall over in 1 try. It wasn't exactly Silksong difficulty.

The problem with looking for soulslikes is that almost everything is a soulslike 🫠 Silksong? Soulslike. Blasphemous? Soulslike. Cuphead? Also soulslike! And yeah, I get it, "soulslike" is more a "feel" of it than any actual criteria, and other people feelings don't have to align with mine.

And the best thing about a soulslike, besides the fact that 90% of them have the exact same mechanics, is that you don't have to bother with balance, playtesting, or basic game mechanics. Just tell 'em it's MEANT to be nigh-unplayable! Real gamers will persevere!

The Onimusha difficulty debate is so boring. First of all: its just the demo/tutorial part that is extremely easy. Second: "Soulslike" games have totally destroyed the view on good action games. If people dont get killed by random bullshit every 5 seconds the game is not hard enough.
