Brunch has so far featured a hungover server fighting for his life to the point where he no longer remembers most of the menu, my order, or how to write notes, and a constant stream of 70s disco music videos projected onto the wall in front of my table. Pleasantly surreal. 10/10. No notes. 🤣👍

Coming soon: Baltimore Review 2026 - the print compilation of all work published in the summer and fall 2025 and winter and spring 2026 online issues. Reading work online is great. Reading paper books is great. Nice to have options, right?

Join me on the 18th for a quiet exploration of mindfulness and grounding through descriptive writing! Open to writers and non-writers of all skill levels. All proceeds go to support the magazine! #writingcommunity #writing

Join us on August 18th for a two hour workshop about mindful writing with editor @estrempler.bsky.social! No experience or aspirations required. Just bring yourself, a willingness to explore, and your preferred writing tools. www.patreon.com/LiIsprii/pos...

Metis poetry haul 👌✨ Good reading, but also, workshop prep, stay tuned. Not pictured because I already own or have ordered copies of them: North End Love Songs, Whitemud Walking, Scars & Stars. And of course there are tons more out there that I couldn't grab on short notice. #poetry 💙📚✒️

Heads up to Canadian writers, editors, and publishers. It seems the wait to register Canadian ISBNs has ballooned over the last few months from under a week to 2-3 months. You may need to plan further ahead than normal if you want to hit a specific release date. #writingcommunity #authors

Late to the game, but check out this wicked piece Jeremy from Li Isprii did on my mods!! 🥰🥰

The nēhiyawēwin mods of @nehiyawrim.bsky.social turn games like Skyrim and Stardew Valley into learning tools without sacrificing fun. Jeremy Allard spoke with Metis developer Wyatt Schiefelbein about their work, and what his plans are for the project going forward. www.liisprii.ca/magazine/202...

Our Submittable doors close at 11:59 p.m. today. Then we'll have a crazy amount of catching up to do before opening again on August 1. Summer plans: Getting the summer issue together. Assembling the annual print compilation. And we'll offer another free generative writing session on Zoom.

In case you had us on your radar: May 31 is the last day of our current submission period for both contest and non-contest submissions. Then we close our Submittable doors until August 1. Right now, we're reading for our summer issue, which launches in mid-July. baltimorereview.org/spring_2026

Not me, and the magazine I co-run (@li-isprii.bsky.social) is made entirely without the use of AI. We do all the writing, editing, graphic design, web development, and organization ourselves. We don't accept AI-assisted work. Quality over quantity, every single time. Rosenbaum is projecting.

#currentlyreading "Spirit Gifting" by Elmer Ghostkeeper, a Métis elder from Paddle Prairie Metis Settlement. The blurb and cover don't really match the book's contents, which are based on a Master's thesis. It handles shifting lifeways and the loss of traditional land use practices. 📚💙

Spent the week in the Waterton area (got to Crowsnest Pass, Pincher Creek, Fort McLeod, Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump). The weather was terrible but the hotel was lovely. We checked out some great shops, breweries and restaurants, and went for a few windswept hikes. Bought tons of books! Photo dump:
