Best friends since Grade 8, Suzanne André and the late Paulette Duguay spent the fall of 2024 travelling around the Prairies for cultural docuseries Métis Foodies.
Drawing on her Afro-Jamaican and Red River Métis heritage, Winnipeg-based ceramic artist PJ Anderson’s richly ornamented sculptural works explore adornment as a form of protection, resistance and self-definition.
"Enn Pchit Fee Michif: A Life and Legacy" by Nora Cummings, with Cheryl Troupe, is a down-to-earth memoir by a venerable Metis elder, activist, and politician that emphasizes the importance of community and collective striving for a better world.

I have a couple pieces in this art exhibition, Expressions of Métis Religion and Spirituality, which is at Harcourt House in Edmonton until tomorrow. It'll be touring to a few venues, so I'll post future dates and locations when I know them.
Justin Ducharme is a Métis filmmaker who joined us on the show to discuss the world premiere of his new film, Seventeen at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The film is about three queer, Indigenous sex workers in downtown Vancouver.
I have a new book coming out next year with my co-editor Ranjan Datta, 12 chapters from Indigenous scholars from around the world and one settler scholar, working with women in Greenland @anthropologie @archeology @TEK
