Here's what I remember, hopefully in the right order: 1. D&D 3.X 2. Big Eyes Small Mouth 1.5. D&D 3.X but with guys who did "roleplay" between sessions and let me know if anything important came up (might still only count as one) 3. Fiasco 4. D&D 4E 5. Eclipse Phase

This post is unavailable.

Honourable mentions that happened shortly after (if I got the first five right): - The Dresden Files RPG (you better believe that got me into FATE) - Legend of the Five Rings 4E - 13th Age - Microscope - Call of Cthulhu (one session that went very poorly, unfortunately)

The main thing to take away from the Korean monster movie Hope is that boys have a doglike Zerg form and girls can produce beautiful antler-like protrusions from their back that can shield them from bullets.

Thinking about writing a Hard Wired Island solo TTRPG again. I might not know the first thing about making them or what would suit Hard Wired Island, but I didn't know what I was doing when I wrote the original and people loved that shit

I think more video game movies should cast Eric Andre as a guy who hates one of the protagonists for no explained reason. Can't think of one that wouldn't be elevated tbh

Slowly becoming aware of how many Aussie stores that sell furniture, decor, or storage are just putting out off-brand IKEA stuff

Kmart names their furniture. A lot of decor is just whatever IKEA had recently but cheaper. Everyone sells home storage from a brand called Boxsweden.

Reading through Hard Wired Island for minor NPCs I can bring back again in the new book (e.g. Cerberus Zhao, HWI p. 136, could have a coffee joint of her own now). I am open to suggestions but I feel like I should pick some too. Which weirdo wrote these freaks though??

Minor problem I've been having: I keep the tote bags you get from the PAX Aus merch booth as souvenirs, but this year I used the 2023 bag to hold all my Wetrunner stuff and I ended up overloading and tearing it. You'd think they'd be easy to replace, but I cannot find one online. RIP...

Trying to decide whether to see the Street Fighter movie tonight or go to IKEA (again) to get more Towel

Next Zettamall chapter went up. I should switch from writing LitRPG to writing murim stories because I'm amazing at it

Been planning a new edition of the Breakfast Cult RPG and I'm tinkering with the idea of doing it in Cortex. If I got any pals who know Cortex and would be down to look at my half-baked ideas, now is your chance to earn Zero Dollars

Announcing my new, timely, and original D&D setting, Piss Mausoleum. It's D&D as you've never seen it before: grim and gritty and dark. You can say fuck in this one. Morty from Rick and Morty is there

I've been thinking about making more games in Cortex. I think the next edition of Breakfast Cult could do with a new ruleset and Cortex might be doing it for me. Do I need to stick to d6 if I want to do a JP translation as well though, or is that no longer a thing over there

As usual I felt pretty bummed out post-PAX (especially coming back to an empty house this year) but now I'm just pumped to get things done. Today I even finished a major project: tricking a friend into watching all the Hatchetfield musicals

[Going through an elaborate series of doors and scanners to reach a phone booth which I dial a code into before descending into the floor Get Smart style, exiting in a fortified bunker from which I post the spiciest takes] Marty should've recruited the courier at the end of Back to the Future II

- Could easily be convinced time travel is real - Willing to hand-deliver a letter posted 70 years ago to some random guy outside town in the rain - Asks what's in it instead of opening it himself ("Postman's Honor") - Marty why are you running back to Hill Valley on foot, ask him for a lift

GRIDSHOCK is my dream game: a tabletop RPG where people with powers fight to bring down those in power. It's also a game about death, greed, hope, and trucking in a post-apocalyptic world. Its crowdfunding campaign has less than 24 hours to go. It hasn't funded yet. gamefound.com/en/projects/...

What if, for Halloween, I went off the deep end and made a Fate RPG hack of VKILLER and streamed it

Back home. Lost my headphones at PAX but I ran a lot of games and had a good time. My main regret is not taking a picture of the izakaya with the decorative poster that just said "Cool Japanese Poster In Grunge Style"

I've used headphones for a long time to block sound out, but I've been coming around to the idea that with my folks absent it would do me good to feel more connected to the world around me. I think I can gaslight myself into being fine with losing them now. Also the total happiness in the world incr

Thats sick tbh, less so about the headphones

In Melbourne for the day with some time to kill once again. Anyone who wants to hang out, let me know

Weekend over! I signed up to run even more Wetrunner like a maniac but 12 hours of gaming isn't the worst way to spend three days

I also noticed that one of Wetrunner's sample PCs has a glaring error on his sheet. Good thing I didn't lock that in I guess

On the way to Melbourne, which sucks because I won't get to enjoy my new IKEA controller platter until I'm back

"What the fuck is a controller platter?" Well it's a cool decor tray you show people and they go "what the fuck is a controller platter"

Spent the last two days prepping for PAX Aus, mostly preparing tools for demoing Wetrunner in the Magpie Room. Time for my third trip to Officeworks because like hell am I paying to subscribe to a printer

Case in point: that time I wrote a storyline about debt collectors, and had to write a special fallback option in case players were using console commands to give themselves infinite money

Dug out an old drawstring bag that broke in the corners. What's the smart boy way to repair this?

Watched a couple YouTube videos sped up to see what the internet thinks, and so far it has recommended I tie the ends into a knot and light them on fire. I should watch videos at 1x speed.

Tying a big figure 8 worked but used up enough of the drawstring that putting it on with both arms is a pain. I'm only reviving this bag to carry my TTRPG stuff at PAX though so I can just sling it over one shoulder. Problem Solved

Running Spelljammer. PC rolled Investigation to look around a room and got a 1, so I said he got distracted by a really nice chair and he could decide what the chair looked like. It's the Perspective Chair

"biden is sooo mad at netanyahu he's going to stop funding the genocide any day now, probably" is a tactic they tried every couple of weeks while he was in office. there's no rescuing his legacy here sorry
