I had a wonderful time working w/educators last week at the National Rural STEM Summit. In my workshop, "Innovative Anatomy: Animal Skulls & Evolutionary Biology in the Classroom," we explored how skeletal specimens can be powerful tools for teaching anatomy, evolution, ecology & comparative biology

Ten years ago Tami, Roy, and I released a movie we made of antibiotic resistance evolving in real time. I thought maybe a couple thousand people tops would see it. I couldn't have imagined it would be seen millions of times, and be taught from middle school through the graduate level worldwide

Our socials got the look ✨ But unfortunately, our website was still living in the past. It had been with us since 2017, so a little glow-up was definitely overdue. Check out our new look at evokeproject.org and let us know what you think! Big shoutout and lots of love to Josh for making it happen 🫶

We are also very grateful to the ERIDOB Academic Committee and the team at the University of Ljubljana for hosting the symposium and for providing our community with the opportunity to connect in person. 4/5

EvoKE is a network of researchers from across the world. Even though we may be separated by thousands of kilometres, we are connected by shared goals for advancing evolution education. Opportunities like this to meet in person are therefore especially valuable 🌍💚 5/5

Our symposium “Evolution Education in the Early Years” brought together researchers from Greece, Spain, Portugal, the USA, and Switzerland to share their work and discuss opportunities and challenges we encounter when teaching children about evolution 🌱 2/5

A huge thank you to all our speakers for sharing their research, ideas, and enthusiasm, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to such an inspiring conversation! A special thank you to Xana Sá-Pinto for chairing the symposium and guiding the discussion. 3/5

There’s even more evolution education to discover at ERIDOB 2026! It will be part of many conversations happening across the conference, bringing together different perspectives, educational contexts, research questions, and approaches. Below, an Evolution Education Guide to #ERIDOB2026 🧪🧵 #EduSky
