Dear local growers, please use preservatives on your fruit and try to avoid sitting on them as they go out the door because some of us are sick of paying like $15 for fruit that is two hours from rotting

You Can See Everything: It’s so hard to describe, and so, so profound. I’d describe it as the best movie of the 2020s. It shows that movies take time, and this film absolutely got the time it deserved.

It’s hard to imagine that this doesn’t become a cultural moment in filmmaking. I highly recommend seeing it, and I truly feel you might regret it if you don’t, and not at all in a grifter way.

Finally, shout out to the 400 Theatre in Chicago where I just saw it. You guys are doing an amazing job, and if you’re in the Chicago area, I 100% recommend coming out to support the oldest movie theater in, I believe, Illinois!

It’s also extremely entertaining, not only through excellent cutting, composition, and dialogue, but it’s just hilarious. It’s hard to think of a reason not the recommend the film.

Hot take, but: the yellow line is probably our city’s best train line. Not because it’s particularly useful, but because it does what public transit should: provide options for people in an area where it’s very car-centric. Anyways, shout out to the yellow line and it’s 3 daily riders #chicago

Your family is psychically vulnerable to President Carter’s wandering spirit. He can enter minds and infect them with thoughts of solar panels. To prevent this you can make or buy a specially designed net to ensnare his ghost, and it’s also a piece of art that brings both protection and beauty.

I really think we should bury it like the big dig, especially with a shore like ours!

Nobody (except CMAP, but for the wrong reasons) wants a highway on their shore. Especially not us, Chicago! Please, click here to learn about CMAP's plan to "redefine" Lake Shore Drive and do your part to stop them from taking steps in the wrong direction for Chicagoans.

I wrote to my alder, finance committee vice chair Conway, about this bad plan that invests in more cars and driving, and $0 in transit

stevencanplan.comChicago is about to spend millions on a new parking garage and nothing on transit at The 78This week I asked my alderperson to defer the finance committee’s vote on a massive funding package that would have the city own a parking garage while at the same time making zero investment…

🚨 Urge your alder to hit the brakes on The 78 TIF! 🚨 Instead of investing in public transit like in the original 2019 plans, the City is now trying to ram through $216 million in public subsidies for a parking garage, with little transparency on the impact nor what public benefit this will provide.

act.betterstreetschicago.orgTell CMAP to pump the brakes on 'Redefine the Drive'! - Better Streets ChicagoCMAP's Regional Transportation Plan misses the mark by proposing an expressway on Chicago's lakefront. Join us in urging them to pump the brakes!

Not only is age verification a thinly veiled attempt at removing anonymity and jeopardizing our privacy and freedom of speech, but it also flat out doesn't work.

I just hate how all these toys think they're entitled to be played with and I can't wrap my head around why they would write the main in such a disappetizing way

My expert advice is to maybe provide something for people to do (that isn't lame), and definitely avoid banning them from technology in a thinly-veiled effort towards mass surveillence.

Teen “takeovers” have long been on the minds of many members of Chicago’s City Council. In the Loop sits down with a panel to discuss how the city can address this issue.

Replying to @wbez.org

You want to stop teen takeovers? Give them someplace to go and hang out that doesn't cost money. It's that simple. People like to socialize, teens are people, give them a place to do it. Instead we shut down parks and beaches at the *rumor* that teens might show up. It's idiotic.
