every single reporting of this new feature is extremely obnoxious because its fearmongering about a highly requested feature that stems from discussions surrounding troubleshooting and whatnot becoming relegated to closed off discord servers instead of public forums and discussion boards.

I thought that maybe Yen Press was just stupid and I couldn't buy any of their titles on bookwalker anymore but they do let me buy, like, Magical Explorer (lol) and High School DxD and other random stuff so I suppose it's on the JP publisher and they can't do much about it but I'll still be mad

what makes it even dumber is that I'm pretty sure most of these publishers (save for Gagaga Bunko, whose books *are* still available to me) are just various random Kadokawa imprints that seemingly cannot agree whether the licensing should be global or not

the good thing about living in a shitfuck country is that I am never tempted to buy merch of things I enjoy because inevitably the shipping costs will outvalue the thing I am buying and on a psychological level that does not agree with me so I decide to do nothing at all
