In the history of fake events, Trump’s assassination stunt has no equal. It was so fake that even the staff at the National Enquirer said, “Oh, c’mon now, what a load of shit.”

Authoritarians will stop at nothing to feel safe. Since they have no concept of public welfare and consider everyone an asset to be used and discarded, they will easily enter into a military conflict without a long-term strategy, regardless of the casualties it causes.

I just watched the netflix documentary, World War II from the front lines. I believe that Mr. Trump believes he is re-fighting this war. The fact that he is asking for unconditional surrender by Iran, sounds eerily like the demand of same by Japan. We all know how that ended.

“Canada's founding insight is that unity does not require uniformity. That we can share a country without conforming to a single identity. That our differences, honestly acknowledged and respectfully navigated, are a source of strength." Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney

Dear fellow posters/writers. Please try not to use the words “off of” when you mean “from”. This incorrect usage appears to be spreading, and sounds quite awkward. Even some professional “substackers”, who should know better, are using “off of”. The words “less” and “fewer” are also often misused.

Tonight, Lawrence on MS NOW expressed that Trump’s idea of funding the government with tariffs only (no income tax) as if the idea was ridiculous. Well, turns out that before the federal income tax was established in 1913, tariffs were the primary source of revenue for the U.S. government.

Today I saw two reporters, both women, interviewing Zelenskyy. The interviews were both appalling and disrespectful. To paraphrase “shouldn’t he make concessions?” “Shouldn’t he deal with corruption?” “Shouldn’t he hold elections?” Honestly, I felt terrible for him.
