I'm putting together videos for our launch soon and I stopped using Capcut because it was shoving AI into my face so hard. This stuff is getting hard to avoid. But I am absolutely serious about our pledge. As long as I am creative director of this company there will be no Gen-AI content . -Cargie

also, omg, this launch video is comin together lookin absolutely DOPE and we got some animation from a fantastic artist in our community and music from a fantastic musician in our community and a lot of late nights from me in Blender but your jaw is gonna drop when you see what we got cookin

This is a slide from our pitch deck that lays down one of our core policies from day one. This is an art-driven community. I'm an artist. At Fables we won't be using AI-gen tools at any part in our chain, even if its easier or cheaper or faster. It's just not what I want to be as a business. -Cargie

So I'm workin on the site design. We decided to put a prominent link to our Generative AI policy statement in the footer on every page. Maybe other brands will do this too. Who knows.

700 followers! wow! Hi. I have a little question for you: if you have a subscription purchase on any diaper right now, what's the frequency? Monthly? also is it a pack or a case? would you prefer to get one pack a month or one case a month or one case every 2-3 months or what?

Obviously it would involve some kind of discount, probably around 5% and we'd just auto-ship you some diapers every so often. Just trying to gauge interest

Former customers of ComfyKinz may have gotten an email message from Fables today. It was unintentional, and the names we added to our list have been removed. We sent only emails to customers who consented to marketing mails, but that may not have applied to Fables. Sorry about that! -Cargie

Trying to figure out what Fables will look like in a year, 2 years, or 5 years. And y'know.. we're never going to get rich here. We're not that kind of company.

All I want with Fables is to make products of a quality and design I am happy with, sold at a fair price, and to make enough money that I can pay rent and maybe buy a new computer every 5 years. That's it. My goals are modest. Can we do it? I sure hope so bc I'm putting everything I got into this.

We've planned this out as best we can, and if it works out right, it'll turn into a small business with the approximate revenue of a local muffin bakery or hair salon. I'm under no illusions here. We'll never be the next hot trend. But we don't have to be. We got you - and we'll have fun together. ❤️

So much of entrepreneurship and startup culture, even outside of tech, is about hitting the next big thing. The stanley mug, the supreme hoodie. And I'm extremely aware there's a big ceiling on our product concept. Diapers for adults will never be cool. We will never ever be a trend. And GOOD.

The absolute best thing about Fables so far is that it's put me back in touch with friends I haven't talked to in ages. This is turning into an oldskool bab fur reunion. It's been wonderful building this thing and seeing it develop, and its only the beginning. ❤️ -Cargie
