Faex Optim

Excited to announce the upcoming release of Hypnotise, 4-track EP featuring remixes by @bunkr303.bsky.social and Synesthete, on my newly launched imprint APEX MOTIF. CD and digital release on 6th Nov, available for pre-order now: faexoptim.bandcamp.com/album/hypnot...

Just wanted to offer a big thanks to the troops who have already pre-ordered. Going it "alone" with your own release model for the first time is a daunting prospect, having really only released with labels until now. It feels like the right time to do this now, and the support is very well received.

Been in rotation a lot the past few days. Fucking tune. youtu.be/xouLR3XcFWQ?...

I've only JUST realised the Scrap Brain Zone music from Sonic 1 is a homage to the ending credits music from Blade Runner. youtu.be/NoVY7nvcel0?...

Friends, Just a reminder that today is the last day of The Relic Room being available at the introductory price of £5. Get it now, currently 26 tracks and 2.5 hours of music. 💀🩶🔊 everydaydust.bandcamp.com/album/the-re...

Anyone who thinks Ed Sheeren controls ANYTHING is totally naive about how those big pop performers are managed. If you support corpo pop, you get corpo values.

BUNKR - Signs EP released today on the @vlsi.bsky.social label 🛰️ 4 new BUNKR tracks from the Signals sessions. Where Signals explored the mysteries & hidden histories of the Surrey Hills, Signs follows those signals towards the distant glow of the city beyond. bunkr-music.bandcamp.com/album/signs

At this late hour of the superfluous culture war, The Proclaimers transparent attempt at marketing to their boomer audience is just a bit fucking lame.

Friends, I have a limited cassette out now entitled Archaic. 6 previously unheard ambient tracks spanning 2005 to 2017. 7 tapes remaining at the time of this post: everydaydust.bandcamp.com/merch/archai... #experimentalmusic #ambient #cassettes #musiqueconcrete #fieldrecordings #ambientsky

I'm not even going to hassle you for BC Friday. You know where my latest album is if you want to buy it. Thanks especially to those of you who have continually supported my music.

Will never forgive Instagram for stealing the brand name of my prospective drone powered cocaine delivery service.

Dear music folk - just be reliable. And if you can't do something, just tell the person relying on you as soon as you know. Nobody will kill you because you can't fulfil a commitment you previously thought you could. It seriously is such an unneccessary pain handling bullshit and false commitments.

You have no idea how long it took me to build this modulated and cross modulated arpeggio melody patch.

Get buying!

Scientists claim the solar eclipse would only last a few minutes but the sun has been completely obscured since Monday in Edinburgh.

In hindsight, buying a new production plugin midway through mixing an EP is probably a bad idea....

Bit of a vibe shift going on. Some way away as still have another - more uptempo - thing to drop on the world first.

For me, the soundcloud era was the pinnacle of DiY music. I discovered some people I'm still acquainted with today. The stress of "break-even" and faux commercial success wasn't remotely a thing. It was just putting out music for enjoyment. Took me years to want to re-capture that model again.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed our download code give away. As some folks missed out we have decided to set all our releases to 'name your price' until 8pm UK time tomorrow. Enter £0.00 for a free download or £0.50 to add to your collection. dustopianfrequencies.bandcamp.com DF HQ 🩶🔊

Next up - Boy George endorses Vlad The Impaler.

I wonder how many modular synth artists have dogs named Patch...must be a fair few?

Bring back Starmer. All is forgiven. 😅😅

Some unreleased tracks on this here mix on Urban Mutant. Varying undisclosed links between these tracks and Hz & Fisty Kendal in general 🎶📻🎚️🎛️🎹🎹🎛️🎚️📻🎶

Full day of live music one week tomorrow. Will be interesting to see if anyone is still sober by the time I play.... www.seetickets.com/tour/cowgate...

One of the greatest joys of not making music, I imagine, must be the ability to just enjoy listening to really good music without wanting to go to your studio and make something like it.

In honor of the whole US comedians cos-playing as political journalists thing, I quite like thinking of other big political interviews I'd like to have seen. Starter for 10: Bob Monkhouse v Mikhail Gorbachev

Major @vhshead.bsky.social vibes in some of the BOC album btw.

Early bird tickets have sold out. General sale still left. www.seetickets.com/event/cowgat...

Always kind of interesting and curious that people randomly make videos for old tracks of mine. youtu.be/Qf2KUl8qHwE?...

If I were starting a new hauntology project referencing occult behaviour, I might be inclined to use imagery of people all sitting weirdly in silence in church-like environments listening to an album like it's some kind of sermon.

That you finishing an ep? Must be me then.

I had the pleasure of remixing a track by the amazing @exitchamber.bsky.social for his new EP I Have Lied To You The Best I Can. It’s a beautiful release with four new works of emotive, pensive ambient and four remixes of the track Please Hold On. #ambient #ambientsky #experimentalmusic

Live now

Excited to play Cowgate Block Party in my home city. Will be a busy one so strongly recommend getting tickets eary: www.seetickets.com/event/cowgat...
