I love my absinthe-soaked forced book club

I GOT DA WOIM

I’m doing this thing in FL where you have to distract the local lamp-cats so that miners can do their work and one of the ways you can do that is by setting out boxes for them to sit in lol

In this annual mashup of All Hallows’ Eve and Catholic confession it becomes desirable to collect Menaces, the very things you spend the rest of the year avoiding. It’s like suddenly being told the objective of a shooter is to lose all your health. Whole game turns on its head for a couple of weeks.

The feast of masks returns to Fallen London! Hallowmas is upon us. Go masked, and confess.

@failbettergames.com is there something you've thus far forgotten to mention about Salt

I play Fallen London to experience a strange and fantastical fictional world and do things one could never experience in reality, such as spending days in bed wracked with nightmares from university.

Exquisite and wince-inducing six-word story that pops up in Fallen London: “A factory whistle, all too late.”

We have a little stop-gap Fallen London roadmap for you today. Hallowmas will start on Monday the 19th Oct! A hint about what follows Firmament! And more!

Every month Failbetter invites a guest writer from the wider world of games and fiction to contribute a subscriber story. They’re brave and weird and funny and choice-driven and perhaps they could become a welcome part of your routine too. www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/fa...

I should note, the Fallen London thing is excellent. Basically, Cosmic Horror happens, but the next day everybody still has to go to work
