“35 hours a week” is the useful comparison point: ask whether that includes meetings, admin and writing time. Otherwise “full time” won’t tell applicants how much uninterrupted narrative work the role protects.

You’re my dream shop! I have often said aloud that I pray for the day Failbetter has an opening. Y’all feel like kindred spirits to me. Hoping you don’t reject my app outright because I’m US based. I’d happily start work at 3am for you. Not an issue. My kid has me up at 5 anyway. CV soon.

I'm tempted to apply even though the description discourages US applicants and the availability, by extension, is a little awkward. You don't see job postings this thorough and this welcoming very often.

I feel like this is exactly the type of thing I'd excell at, except I'm middle aged and I'd be starting from nearly zero experience. I love video games and have a degree in writing but never ended up using those skills for anything but my own enjoyment.

Unfortunately im 8 hours ahead of you guys, which makes my application rather impossible - do you all hire on freelancers of any kind for projects? If you do, id be happy to apply for anything along those lines. I think id work well for this if it werent for the time zone ^^;;;

I'm a TTRPG writer with 30-ish years of experience. I've worked on IPs like Star Wars, Warhammer 40K, and Macross. I've published my own games, and I'm also a technical writer with deep knowledge and experience with autos and motorsport. I think I'll throw my hat in the ring.
