Not much in the way of astrophotography lately, but did capture some rocket launches and capsule reentries ✨🚀 #rocket #photography

SpaceX Falcon 9 takes to the skies with NROL-57 from Vandenberg AFB 🚀🔭

I really appreciate the response on this one, as you can see I went through some trials and tribulations to get the shot! 🔭

HDR composite of last week’s lunar eclipse. Not my favorite work ever, but it is technically art, so i’m sharing regardless. #astrophotography 🔭

merry christmas everyone! don’t forget to hold your family close.

When i don’t have access to a computer for scripting, i like to use this retro game console to do simple math:

Between finals I’ve been starting to work on a photorealistic lens flare based on photography from space. Here’s a test render: #blender 🔭

Totality, Mk.2 AKA my profile picture for everything now #astrophotography 🔭

So this AI nonsense showed up in my discovery feed. A thread on how to avoid AI-generated slop and mislabeled/misattributed/unattributed images and find real space images and astronomy content on Bluesky. 🔭

Here is a video I made that loops between the Ha and Oiii emissions from the Orion Nebula. It is quite interesting to see how each filter leaves behind a set of filaments to make way for the other, and how it completely ignores the other wavelength. #astrophotography 🔭

The North American Nebula and the Cygnus Wall - Ha and Oiii 1hr Ha and 2hrs Oiii. I feel proud of how this turned out given the short integration time! #astrophotography 🔭
