This reminds me of that woman who was loudly, publicly supporting R K€lly throughout his trial, who ended up becoming a victim afterwards. Mesmerized by the fame and wealth, won’t believe it until it happens to them.
Apparently, he gets an overwhelming amount of fan mail. And I keep thinking about that. Like, I wonder what demographic makes up the majority of his stans at this point.
Cause what do you mean you made me grow up in the sunken place and you got to dance and eat my momma’s cooking and live my comfortable life???!!!!! And you didn’t think to rescue your ppl who were stuck in the sunken place, that no one knew were there and stuck?????!!!!
Name a horror villain who kinda had a point.
Another point - HNJ is a high profile faculty member at Howard. Her daughter always had a safety net built into the “experiment”.
IMO her daughter needs to be looking into/attending a HBCU for her undergraduate experience because I think she will be able to "just be" instead of being an experiment, a statement or a speck of unwanted pepper in the salt. Without her having to be a statement or experiment, she can concentrate.
I’m actively choosing to not address the absolutely criminal idea that school children shouldn’t be fed and can rack up debt over lunch 😡 But! This is not surprising. Our current justice system is built on this idea that incarceration is tied to rehabilitation. This reminds me of the quilters in MO.
30 incarcerated men presented a $4,267 donation to a northwest Kansas school district to pay down the district's unsettled lunch debt The donation was to be "utilized to help local children fuel their day and stay focused and energized this school year"
I’m old enough to remember how using a seatbelt became automatic to most ppl. “A seatbelt won’t actually save my life if we get into a really bad crash” was oddly an argument at some point that I heard routinely. Why is safety so distasteful to some people?
SERIOUSLY, ATTENTION: This is not a fucking invitation for the anti-bike helmet crusaders to drop their manifestos in my mentions. I will block anyone who tries to "well, actually" this post. The mayor should wear a helmet. Don't be fucking weirdos about it.
I am fascinated by this question. My family has had 3 overlapping cats. Yowly, Growly and Catastrophe. Yowly had a drawn out midwestern way of speaking. Growly has a clipped bawlmore way of speaking. Catastrophe has a loud, aggressive Texan way of speaking. They def don’t understand each other so C
Do cats speak A. The language of where they are from B. The same language (cat) Or C. the cat language of where they are from (There are no wrong answers)

My nephew thinks I am a super saiyan level liar when I tell him some of the things we experienced as kids. Hours and hours of being unsupervised outside. Parents had no idea where we were or what we were doing. Drinking water out of a hose. One time some random adult invited a bunch of us over (1/2)
The man has had several public health crisis events & everyone around him continues to act like everything is fine & he’s 100%. They will absolutely gaslight us on this until they feel it’s safe to move on. BUT #1 this is exactly what he would want; #2 we continue to see this with senior politicians
What continues to strike me are these stories of ppl who use AI, are given feedback, and use it again to produce poor output. They fail to see the end goal is something that can be consumed. Just completing something isn’t enough.
I’m reading another post about “I just wrote 10 papers and a grant and three books in a week with AI, academic work is over" and I’ll just say I’m still waiting to find the post from an academic that describes the time they spent happily **reading** AI-generated content vs spewing it out.
I totally get what she’s saying. Watching the World Cup I got a little triggered when they showed the American fans and all the flags, chanting “USA”. Had to reassure myself it was the same as what other countries’ fans were doing. But it felt like I was watching a 45-47 rally. I couldn’t do it.
What does the future of the left hold when we have ceded all notions of patriotism to the right?
He gave Michelle Obama a peppermint one time and now all is forgiven????!!!!! Nope! And tbh, there’s a straight line between the willingness of ppl to normalize his administration and what they did, and where we are now.
According to a Brown University study, George Bush’s post 9/11 wars killed between 4.5 to 4.7 million people, mostly Muslim, mostly civilians, women, and children. Let’s not normalize war criminals who said God sent them on a divine mission to invade Iraq and mass murder millions of people.
I’m so sick and tired of how this is framed. Police don’t have the right or authority to shoot someone for shoplifting! Even if the adults shoplifted and drove away, that’s not an excuse to shoot them, let alone a child who happened to be with them and in the car! Deadly force was not necessary!
Kohen Wiley, a 1-year-old child, is dead after a Mississippi police officer shot into a car and killed him. Family members say his mother was holding him in the passenger seat. The officers were responding to a shoplifting call over a box of diapers at the Senatobia Walmart.
My entire family was ready to ride on a high schooler who called my nephew a “big headed b!tch” after she threw the ball at his head. My niece was like “ who said that? I’ll take care of her tomorrow!” We were all shocked and angry! These kids………
“The ball only hit you in the face, you little bitch.” I’m, like, oh my goodness!
