DC is, flatly, owed statehood after what they have been through under this man to make sure this shit never happens again

Dave Karpf@davekarpf.bsky.social

The entire city is on edge right now. It’s 96 degrees, we’re interrupted every 5 min by the sound of low-flying fighter jets, and the president has managed to ruin July 4th. Quietly muttering to myself: “just wait until IT happens. Everyone will be so happy when IT happens. It’ll be incredible…”

Why is Donald not in prison? He’s blatantly manipulating the stock market and actively engaged in insider trading. If this were one of us, we’d have been arrested and convicted by now.

Anyone else find it interesting that James Comey is being taken to the woodshed for 86 47……. And Jeff Bezos, Donny’s bestie ( next to Epstein) makes (more of) a fortune selling 86 47 merch on Amazon?

Tim Cook donated $1M to Trump’s inauguration. He fawned over Trump and gifted him a 24-karat gold plaque (as Apple lobbied for tariff exemptions). Apple donated to Trump’s White House ballroom. And it removed ICE tracking apps from its stores following a demand from the DOJ. Remember this.

This is a massive and unconstitutional voter suppression effort aimed at giving Trump the power to create a list of who is allowed to vote by mail. We know where this will go -- the targeting of Democrats for mass disenfranchisement. We will sue and we will win.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is in the Oval Office riffing on mail voting, because nobody in the Trump administration has real job duties beyond fluffing the leader on TV

BREAKING: 49 Senate Republicans just VOTED DOWN our simple bill to pay TSA workers. Republicans have now blocked TSA pay SEVEN times. It’s a slap in the face to the men and women who have been working without a paycheck for weeks.

No, we absolutely fucking can’t. The moment we fall back “ho hum, there he is crowing over his enemy’s death again,” we have lost something we will never get back.

And you best believe the shoe WILL be on the other foot. Everyone knows that while it's morally objectionable to mock Robert Mueller's death, it's absolutely permissible - if not compulsory - to celebrate the death of a pedophile.

Angry@angrystaffer.bsky.social

Just taking notes of all the vile Republican reactions to Robert Mueller’s death. There will be a lot of pearl clutching when the shoe is on the other foot.

Part of Trump's sneering contempt for Robert Mueller is driven by the fact that Mueller volunteered to serve in a combat role in Vietnam and earned a chestful of medals, while Trump weaseled out of service yet keeps talking about how much he wants a Purple Heart now.

I wrote a lot about Bob Mueller across a lot of chapters of his career. I wanted to share two @wired.com pieces that I wrote about his defining life experiences—both a picture of an era of public service all but lost today: 1) His brave *voluntary* service in Vietnam: www.wired.com/story/robert...

Pretty fascinating that the only two Inspectors General that Trump didn't fire are the guy who covered up the deletion of secret service text messages on January 6th (Joseph Cuffari) and the guy who investigated the death of Jeffrey Epstein (Michael Horowitz).

The vile, reprehensible, evil, fascist narcissist infesting the People’s House says he’s glad the honorable Robert Mueller is dead. Just imagine what will be said when it happens to him…….

Occam's effin' razor: Putin and Netanyahu both have their copies of the Epstein files (that are probably more complete and comprehensive than the full DOJ's version). Moreover, they've already used it, and will continue to use it, to blackmail Donald Trump.

TAPPER: One of your points of contention with Noem was how she jumped to conclusions about the killings of Pretti and Good, but Markwayne Mullin said equally false things. Does that give you pause? TILLIS: It gives me pause that you had people like Stephen Miller calling the shots.

TAPPER: Do you think Stephen Miller should go? TILLIS: Of course I do. He's a big problem in this administration and has been since the beginning

Don’t let Fox get away with it this time. Spread the word. Fox & Friends Weekend replaced footage of Trump attending yesterday’s dignified transfer with a clip from 2025. They clearly didn’t want their audience to see him disrespecting fallen soldiers wearing a baseball cap. H/T: @BadFoxGraphics

This is a bs “apology” from Fox. They claim it was “inadvertent” - a lie. They aired old footage because they didn’t want to show Trump wearing his campaign hat during the ceremony. Then in this statement they STILL don’t show the correct footage of Trump. bsky.app/profile/aaro...

Fox News admits to airing an old dignified transfer video on its program this morning, one that did not show Donald Trump wearing a white ball cap.

They know Trump’s war is wildly unpopular. So the script is obvious… Hegseth shrugs off dead troops like it’s just “a few drones getting through,” and attacks the media for reporting about it. Then Leavitt denies he ever complained about it. The disrespect for fallen soldiers is shameful.
