to draw a chessboard “correctly” you can’t just draw the horizontal & vertical lines and then color in every second square. i mean you can and it’s fine to do that. but “correctly” means you have to treat every dark square as its own separate thing. takes way longer

i do think it’s kind of weird how everyone hates polyamory in a sort of kneejerk fashion. it’s giving church, it’s giving repressed old biddy if i’m being honest

it’s giving lack of imagination. reminds me a bit of how some people are like “every time communism is tried, it fails!” in that 1) i think it might actually suit human nature better, not worse, but alas 2) all the structures support the status quo alternative
