I'm binge watching last year's season of Grey's Anatomy. I can quite happily cope with the thought of Teddy moving to Paris, being hit by a meteor or (preferably) dying in a plane crash, but if the next episode harms Owen, I will NOT be happy.

House insurance up for renewal. No online option to not renew, so I called and current wait time is 19 min. I've emailed saying I don't want to renew. I'm waiting to see if the email bounces. If, as they say, they could do me a better price if I call, why can't they just tell me best price online?

Today's 13.3kWh of sunshine is a third of my total weekly production. It ran the dishwasher, heated the living room (no need for the rest of the house), cooked tea and managed to export a bit. Tomorrow is not looking good.

It's officially a Winter Sunday Afternoon. I've just peeled & chopped a metric shedload of veg and there's a very nice smelling stew in the slow cooker, made with a chunk of beef cheek - labeled a "forgotten cut" on the Waitrose meat counter.

I bought some cushions in there a few weeks ago and they lent me a blue IKEA bag to carry them in. I've just taken it back filled with assorted items that I'm finally getting out of my house! 🥳

Herne Bay MP Sir Roger Gale described Kent Nationalist Movement a "far-right organisation", saying "Its effectively the Kent National Front" + should be treated with "contempt" He added "Herne Bay is a diverse little town, a happy little town; it has few, if any, problems caused by immigration".

It's not even 11pm and I'm home from the ball. I miss my old training posse. Lovely surprise that our longest standing grading examiner was awarded Master status. Even he didn't know. But no luck in getting the new 5th degree Sifus to try on their new uniforms. Have to wait until class to see them.

It's the time of year for more robust coats. Many councils and charities organise coat appeals and give the coats collected away to anyone who needs them. Our office is a community hub & we have a coat rack where anyone can take what they need. Check your council web site if you have spare items.

The Fairy Godmothers have been with my outfit for the ball and my pumpkin is picking me up about 5pm. Just need to polish my glass slippers. Good job we get a lie in tomorrow morning.

It's our presentation ball tomorrow. The location is about a 15 minute.walk from home, but I'm bothered about getting soaked. A taxi each way will cost me about as much as the ticket and the multiple rounds of shots I'm likely to partake of. I may have to beg a lift from my mate and his missus.

Just had a chap from the local leccy grid services to upgrade my house supply from 60A to 80A. We were chatting & he dropped a nut on the floor. Couldn't find it & no spare in car. He said he'd come back next week. 1/2

He left, I was moving stuff & found it, so legged it outside. He was still in the car. Came back & sorted it all. We both agreed it would bother us until it was found. Very nice chap who lives about 200 yards up the next road.

Don't miss Brian Bilston's show. I went to Kidderminster. I was tired and grumpy after back-breaking editing. By the time we left, I was grinning. We talked about our fave poems all the way back to Shropshire. He's going all over the UK - so catch him when he comes in range. A real shot in the arm.

This is called ‘This isn’t really a poem’.

Imported 6.6kWh overnight to fill up my battery. I've generated 9.3 and exported 7.7 today, which will pay for what was imported. Tomorrow is looking pretty grotty, so I'll top up what Axle pull and see what tomorrow brings.

In the last 2 days, I've generated a whopping 3.4kWh of solar - 0.8 yesterday & 2.6 so far today. Consequently, my battery has taken a beating. Tomorrow evening, Axle will be paying me £1/kWh to pull from my battery for an hour, so I'll gladly be topping up the battery overnight at 12.5p.

Unfortunately, after Trump getting in twice, I think the chance of Vance getting in are highly possible. What's laughable is that those who don't want him to win won't vote for the other guy because they don't like something someone else may or may not have said. Vote & vote the least worst option.

It's Tuesday. I go to Head Office on Tuesdays. I leave the house at 7am to avoid the traffic. It's dark at 7am Next week it will be dark at 7.45am when I get to the office. It will also be nearly dark by the time I get back at 5pm. I'm not a big fan of Tuesdays. Especially not in the next 5 months.

Let's play "Guess How Many Books I Sell Today". I'm going to be working until about 10pm, so there's plenty of time for book sales! Nearest guess wins a book of their choice, up to £10-£15. Reply with your guess before 11.30am (and please share). GOOD LUCK!

Elder Adorable Niece (tm) has a birthday tomorrow. She will be older than I was when she was born. I am older now than Ma was when EAN (tm) was born. Bro is quite a bit older now than Pa was then.

I'm looking at this screensaver on the telly and my mind has instantly dredged up On Her Majesty's Secret Service and a toy cable car we had that we ran between our upper and lower landings at home. Open plan stairs and a loft extension were such a great playground for kids & Action Men.

Ma's BB & phone are switching today. We can't get the app to connect to her account, so can't access it. I'm on the phone to EE and they reckon it may be 30 minutes before they answer. It's already been 10 mins of dreadful music.

Why do modern shoe laces come loose more often than they used to and why does it tend to be one side rather than the other? You can tell my current task is not occupying my entire brain space!

Ordered a repeat prescription for my HRT patches 3 wks ago. Been to pharmacy 4 times. They finally told me on Friday the manufacturer no longer makes them & I need to get an alternative scrip from the GP. It took them 3 wks to tell me this. Why doesn't the GP know? I have 1 patch for tomorrow.

To the ordinary mortal, my house still looks like it's been burgled by fly tippers. To the discerning eye, the piles are more orderly and there are definite patches of floor in some places. When the current batch of laundry has dried, there will be a suitably large load for the charity shop.

Spent the last 2 hrs fighting my way into the spare room. I've thrown away a large binful, sorted 2 large bags to go to the charity shop, found my "good" shorts & various tools. Now I need to get the remaining stuff off the bed, dismantle the bed, & move everything back in so I can go to bed later.

When did the habit of starting emails with "I hope this finds you well"? Especially work emails? If I'm emailing someone for work, I'm not overly bothered about their health and tend to assume if they're not working due to illness, they will have set up an OoO message.

I try to keep my sock in pairs as they wander round the house in the laundry circle. Every so often one wanders off for an adventure. I keep a basket of lonely socks in the bedroom so that when their mate reappears they can be reunited.

It's bad enough with morons on 2 wheels pulling wheelies and other moronic stunts in the middle of the street without having even bigger morons trying it on 4 wheels. I'm all for such people wiping themselves off the face of the earth, but they need to leave the rest of us out of the equation.
