As we all know by now, Ukraine inflicted peak personnel losses of ruzzian invaders on 21 October 2026. Because that "conflicted" with the dataset I had initially recorded for the first week, I've decided to go back and estimate my own adjustments for those days up to 3 March 2022.

With that in mind, can anyone recommend a consistent source for these? Is there a source, aside from Kyiv Post, which has produced these cards daily and accurately, with consistent format and limited text? The numbers themselves have become more consistent (fewer corrections needed) but not format.

Perhaps the source itself is the most important part - I've seen the older style cards (two cited here in this thread) with both Ukrainian and English, since the mass change to English-only had occurred. What is the source for these cards? FACEBOOK IS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME.

With all of this in mind, I am going to be switching formats soon. My previous source for these scorecards has been @GeneralStaffUA on 𝕏, which I switched to after @DefenceU (Ministry of Defense) on 𝕏 started missing a few days (and later started using more text than BlueSky permits).

More recently, @GeneralStaffUA has begun using scorecards which only share English text, and I preferred them with both Ukrainian and English. There are other sources for similar cards but I feel I may need to make my own. It would be a Herculean effort on my part to correctly generate these daily.

It is possible that the numbers are much more evenly distributed, but basically I aimed to reflect the intensity of fighting over the duration between reports. My "Intensity graph" adjusted to the new numbers slightly. There have been no adjustments to any other categories.

The only intent of this exercise was to make the record numbers work better, so that AFU's stated record of +2250 on 21 October 2022 is reflected properly, and that the numbers used to arrive there at least make SOME sense. This should absolutely not be used as a basis for any real analysis.

The 3 March 2022 estimate bumped the total number of ruzzian casualties to about 9,000. The +3160 figure reflects their initial adjustment. But if we assume that the 19 October 2026 estimate of +2100 number was NOT a record, we can safely assume that number was exceeded in the first few days.

So, I've adjusted my numbers based on 1. duration of fighting based on reports, 2. reported losses of equipment, focusing on APCs and soft trucks, and 3. overall intensity of fighting during the initial outbreak. These are very unscientific and probably very inaccurate estimates.

🇺🇦 Zelensky: 270 of our people are home. Most of them have been in captivity since 2022. Most of those released are soldiers who defended Ukraine in Mariupol. Defenders from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Chernihiv directions are also returning.
