Has the media ever tried not paying attention to someone widely considered 'newsworthy'? The thing that sustains the 'newsworthiness' of any one person is their continued appearance in the news. Stop covering them, they'll soon become as unnotable as myself.

Paramount+ wanted to use the image on the left as a poster for the wrath of Khan, so they used everyone's least favorite technology to generate the rest of the image.

I realize the pundit class hates a problem without a solution but here we are: Trump broke it (the US deterrence over Iran). He can't fix it. NATO can't fix it. No one can fix it. We just have to figure out how to proceed given that it is broken.

Trump on Iran War: Reporter: What extent are Americans’ financial situation motivating you to make a deal? Trump: Not even a little bit. I don't think about Americans’ financial situation

How about we stop thinking working is a good thing? For most of the workforce there's no dignity at all in their jobs. Hard graft to just barely get by is the history of labor.

Part 2 of my series on AI and job loss. What do you do if you lose your job and never find another one? The US needs an ambitious, creative long-term unemployment program to foster second careers with dignity. www.bloomberg.com/opinion/arti...

We should be pushing for technology to free us from labor by creating a society that ensures ample resource distribution for all, while allowing most people to pursue their own intellectual and creative interests.

For example, those of us here can all finally be shitposters full time, without the distraction of having to tab-away and 'be productive' for our daily bread.

Half-ruined, still smoking, bullet ridden...every American remebers where they watched the Four Days of Justice. 378 trials. 378 immediate sentences* Preserved exactly as it was at the close of the trials, the Justice Arch is place of hope and healing for all Americans. *378 Immurements on site.

I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories, but I'm certain Putin, Xi, and Kim have a group chat where they send each other memes and Western news headlines celebrating the colossal success of their long running espionage operations to enfeeble US institutions and divide US society.

But they're different (but the same) radicals in charge = successful regime change. And Strait reopened (never mind he's the one that caused its closure). There's going to be a g'damn parade and a monument that takes the whole Mallway.

So they still have the nukes, radicals in charge, control the SoH, but we sunk their Navy….. Can’t wait to hear his spin on this one…..

Is there any serious conversation about what comes after all of this in the US? There will be a lot of work to do just to get back to the ante regimen status quo, but there desperately needs to be quick action and reform of all 3 branches: their roles and powers, and Ineluctable checks and balances.

It’s crazy that Canada would jeopardize its alliance with the US because it needs that alliance in order to protect Canada from the only country that has a potential motive, the geographic proximity, and military capability to invade Canada, which is oh never mind..

Typical Istanbul things: A cat casually walked in the hotel’s front door, crossed the lobby and into the lounge—where it strolled past me without saying hello (rude)—headed straight for the patio door, where a staff member came and opened the door for the cat, and then carried on its way.

Twenty minutes later it came back inside, through the lounge—where it did not stop to chat with me, again (rude)–onward to the lobby and out the front door.

Did they have an intern design the 250 logo? Or did they actually spend money and hire someone for this, who in turn had their intern design it?

They’re all attempting to volte face while saving face, instead of admitting they were wrong and made a big mistake by supporting him. But people on the left need to give them space to apologize. Antagonizing each other is what got us here in the first place.

Weird...I heard the little kid shouting "Yeah fuck you!" (near the end of video) while I was cutting a bunch of onions.

The truly bizarre psychological phenomenon of all this isn’t the electric or his supporters or The man himself. It’s the choices of those who are in positions to check in balance and who sat by and did nothing. That’s where the aberration and all this happened that’s where the breakdown is.

Are there good reports about how this happened in similar situations, Germany, Italy, wherever. Where the supposedly rational gatekeepers of the rule of law, just totally bend backwards and are ineffective.
