I was able to spin up a vaultwarden instance after 1Password decided to continue funding a white supremacist's pet project. Costs little to no money and uses the bitwarden client. Works fantastic. Takes a little technical knowhow but it's doable.

You know after they refused to back down on funding a white supremacist's linux configuration package, I quit 1Password. That decision keeps looking better and better as time goes on.

Just call me “Exhibit A” 👋

In addition to the procedural noncompliance, however, the plaintiffs' lawyers — relying, in part, on the work of @gillianbrockell.com (Exhibit A) — also raise questions of substantive noncompliance.

This Black MAGA creator says she “cannot believe the disrespect” after being removed from a San Antonio rally hosted by Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton!?!?! Why would they treat her this way???

SCOOP: 'Tommy' from the now-viral exchange with Abdul El-Sayed is Thomas Teepell, a former staffer for Republican Senator Josh Hawley with close ties to Christian Nationalist Sean Feucht. He's the son of a former Bobby Jindal staffer whose consultant work was instrumental in getting Hawley elected.

It's called the locomotive. And we're gonna drive it right through your god damn bedroom.

So basically... if Ukraine keeps striking Russian oil, which they have been very effectively, Trump gets to say it's essentially an attack on the US.

Kyle Cheney@kyledcheney.bsky.social

The United States is now importing fuel from Russia, per President Trump.

Wow that is way different from the Burbank terminal I remember.

Scott Lowe@tropicostation.bsky.social

Some photos from the new Burbank Airport Grand Opening Ceremony this morning - beautiful terminal, amazing they brought it in on time and on budget.

Christ I hate this timeline.

Today I saw the new 4 hour documentary Musk, directed by Alex Gibney. There were too many times to count that a sold out theater burst out laughing at Elon Musk, something he said or did, even sometimes just how he looked. I believe that is his worst nightmare come to life.

David Quammen's essay in The New York Times today closes with this paragraph. It's both a scientific falsehood, and an incredibly dangerous narrative. If you're willing to give me five minutes of your time, I'd like to explain why.

BREAKING: SCOTUS keeps the Missouri 2022 congressional map in effect for this election in an order that criticizes the Eighth Circuit's actions in the case. The five page, per curiam — unsigned order — came with no noted dissents. More to come at Law Dork: www.lawdork.com

Holy shit. Well that fits in nicely with the "What the hell was she thinking?" logic we had back when it was going down.

Wild stuff. Sheri Mecklenberg, career prosecutor accused of misconduct in Broadview 6 case, resigns from DOJ. The NYT obtained her scathing resignation letter, in which she says the U.S. attorney directed her to bring felony charges over her objection. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

Whatever Sheeran's politics, it's reasonable for an artist to not allow moneyed outsiders to dictate what happens on their tour. He's a stadium headliner, he has the power to play where he wants and with whom he wants. Bowing down to billionaires is how you end up playing DJ sets on dictator yachts.

The thing that's interesting is *how fast* it came up as a topic and reached consensus. Something happened in the last month or so that made the numbers so obviously not work that they can't even pretend any more and are hoping to scrape together profitability on current models alone I bet.

So they realized they're in the gutter, no revenue in sight, operating at a tremendous loss, and suddenly decided to slow down "to save the humanity."

Funny how they always leave that part out.

I read Adam Smith about 15 years back, to see what all this invisible hand stuff people who "understood economics" were on about. I was surprised at how often he mentioned that the point of Gov't is to act as a *counterbalance* on Business for the good of humanity. 250 years ago, alas.

I remember my mom had woken me up and everyone had been in a state of shock. Mom was crying. An hour or two later my boss from the computer lab at college called me. The campus was closed. He wanted me to come down and work since the labs would all be empty.

I went in and we wheeled one of those TV carts everyone of a certain age remembers between the labs to watch tv while we worked on all the computers. That was surreal. That's... kind of all the memory I have of that day...
