#spacetober day 16: Jupiter Europa is the smallest of the four Galilean moons of Jupiter, and the second closet to the planet. Its surface is icy and relatively smooth. Impacting meteorites cause melting of the surface, allowing the water to smooth out before re-freezing. 1/2 #spaceart #sciart

We are very proud to be able to share this story, listen next week to hear my conversation with Arthur about his writing journey and his new novel.

I have a new novella out in the 20th Anniversary edition of Clarkesworld this month! "The Job" is about a woman with serious self-image issues who takes a contract to survey an alien ocean for corporate exploitation, wearing the body of a bioengineered whale. clarkesworldmagazine.com/bear_10_26/

In a world where "AI" submissions are a plague, human-written stories are the cure for an editor's breaking heart. Don't let the flood discourage you from sending your work out there. You are better, no what the hype of the moment says. We want your stories. Not the slop-infested noise.

A 1 km long accelerator nestled between Alcubierre rings, cooled by glowing radiator spines, protected by dielectric mirrors and Whipple shields, propelled by a DT fusion torch. An excellent HardSSF space warship inspired by Atomic Rockets! #space #art blenderartists.org/t/warship/14...

For the final day, 24, of #ArtAdventCalendar, I present this illustration which I call Exploration of Amalthea. The latter is a very small moon of Jupiter in a very close orbit. Jupiter would fill half the sky seen from here! #SciArt #spaceart #Blender3d

Very exciting, thank you to all of you who have submitted so far, you rock. Our first few hours of submissions have been more fruitfull than we could have imagined.

When I was a kid I had a birthday party and no one showed except my cousin. This morning we opened submissions and PEOPLE SHOWED UP! We are already reading some great stories, thank you. #submissions, #sciencefiction, #shortstory, #anthology www.foldedspacepodcast.com/submissions/

If you liked this experiment, I published a full piece today in the same vein: a text that gets 100 years older with every section, from a modern blog post to a medieval chronicle. It's a single story spanning 1000 years of English. See how far you get. www.deadlanguagesociety.com/p/how-far-ba...
