In our last episode, we reunite with Mike Romano, Kayla Staph, Sarah Ellison Hernandez & Jeremy Boss. The takeaway for the road ahead is this: reject anticipatory compliance, demand common strategic goals over chaotic policies, and remember that our oath to the Constitution doesn't expire.

Across 30 episodes, we built a time capsule of courage—sharing stories from former feds at the FBI, DOJ, NGA, USAID, CDC, NIH, EPA, State, Commerce, USPTO, Pentagon Police, the Navy, & Immigration Courts who took the fork in the road by choice or by force.

This was never about partisan politics. It was about shining a light on what was happening inside our government and speaking out against violations of law societal norms.

We were so glad to have Stacey as a guest, and we look forward to watching the good work Justice Connection continues to do!

One thing that often gets lost in the coverage of DOJ is that there are still good people there doing good work. But they are working under unthinkably difficult situations, as Stacey Young said on Forking Off. That’s why Justice Connection was started.

If 1,200 former colleagues publicly opposed our promotion, we’d take the hint. Especially at the Justice Department, where alumni rarely speak out against nominees. Senators should take their warning seriously.

Instagram temporarily suspended our account after posting this. Please help us convey to Lady Streisand the importance of diplomacy. Also, Jeff talks about resigning from the State Department after being told to weaponize sanctions against judges and the ICC. #FFF forkingoff.com/jeffrey-size...

Justice Connection just launched the FBI Support Network to help current and former FBI personnel being fired, investigated, intimidated, or pushed out for doing their jobs. The FBI’s apolitical workforce is under attack. They need to know they are not alone.

What!? You haven't heard? Michael Duffin (@duffin.bsky.social) is advocating for former feds by running for a seat in the US House of Representatives in Virginia's 8th District. Check out our most recent interview with him to find out how because Diplomacy Matters, and Feds Matter!

Thank you @justiceconnection.bsky.social for highlighting our work and continuing to stand up for the rule of law by protecting our former colleagues who've been targeted by the administration. If you're a DOJ employee or alum, check out the Justice Connection. www.thejusticeconnection.com

While armchair developers and infosec experts have questioned some of the app’s technical design choices, a former FBI intelligence analyst uncovered an unusual fact: The small business owner behind the White House app has a side hobby as a conspiracy theorist.

Over 1,800 intelligence professionals left their federal jobs between January 2025 and January 2026. A third of those were through deferred resignation. Learn more about what the federal government lost in 2025 through our new data visualization project at data.forkingoff.com.

Why stop at impeachment? Kash Patel's handling of the FBI's response to the Epstein Files Transparency Act is justification for inherent contempt. Congress shouldn't just fire him and let him go back to podcasting with Bongino. They should hold him accountable now.

"At a certain point, this childish indulgence in an unchecked id and a bottomless compulsion to be the center of attention takes a toll on the FBI’s actual work."

Upstanding AG's respond to Congressional oversight with facts, not ad hominem attacks. AG Bondi’s lack of decorum at today’s hearing demeans the office and further undermines trust in DOJ’s independence.

250 years; truer than ever. "A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason." Thomas Paine, Common Sense January 10, 1776

It's been 5 years since the attack on the Capitol threatened to end the American experiment. Former DOJ prosecutor Mike Romano spent 4 years building cases against the rioters. Mike doesn't mince words. #Jan6 was #DomesticTerrorism. The pardons were the injustice. forkingoff.com/michael-roma...
