I've not been posting in the wake of the GF. It broke my heart, not in a 2008 way but it really hurt. The cocks who sat around us (total posing theatre-going cunts), the idiotic Brisbane karaoke wank fest, Danger and Jezz. 😭 Anyway...went to the AFLW today to see our girls win. ♥️

Go Cats!!! (getting ready to head to Melbourne soonish and won't be experiencing the day on my phone but taking it all in like such a day should... hoping to put some thoughts together later but that's probably result dependent🤞)

Okay. My throat is absolute sandpaper. I cheered, screamed, chanted, sang like a maniac last night. Those Cats. My God. They are magnificent. We got home at about 1am (sadly can't sleep past 6am ever). We sat in the loudest crowd I think I've ever had for a Geelong match. That's saying something. 🧵

Cam Rayner should be fined for staging. I'd suspend him but the AFL will clear it. I think umpire Brent Wallace paid (kicked?) the double goal. He should be deployed to Gaza (not in the army, just dropped off). What a cunt. Rayner is surely the most hated man in Australia sport right now.

Utter fucks aside, the boys were immense. Dempsey, Atkins, Danger, Henry, Stewart, Close, Blitz, Guthrie, Mannagh, Miers, Bowes, Mullin. I love them all!

Obviously I'm elated but I'm going for it anyway. The Brisbane Academy (Lions? lol) can fuck themselves. Seriously. They've always been turds under Fagan. Whiny bitch club looked after by the AFL since 1997. Fuck them.

I've always been bad/sporadic with social media (which is absolutely the best way if you do have an account)...so here's my late response to the Cats last weekend. Bailey is definitely ramping up for September. I'm hoping he's a big game player. 🤞 Tom Atkins continues to be elite (and invisible).

Stewart is absolutely back. I know it was just Richmond (shit club) but he just needed to get some touch back. He'll be so on next Friday. That'll do. Cannot wait to be a full nuff next week!

The men's match was good though. Sydney has had some form of late, so it felt like a statement. Stewart and Stengle are back in form. I think I'm in love with Rhys Stanley. All the boys are primed for September.

Didn't get around to any level of recap from the weekend. Gutted for the L against North. Absolutely in it until a massive fadeaway in the last quarter. Great to see the girls out there (I watched on telly but didn't make it as I had a day in Melbourne with my daughter) & hoping for a W next week.

Last night was good. I remember when Essendon were basically football royalty, so I'll never see a 40+ point win over those fuckers as anything less than brilliant. Was it perfect football from us? No. But I like that there was a challenge. Some really good signs, especially for our squad depth.

Might make these posts a bit less thready from now on. So... good win. Bailey worked his way into some nice form. Jezz was nuts. Loved his show. It was fun to sit up high but let's say the demographic was a bit different to what I'm used to. 😆

I haven't seen the coverage so I don't know if it's been mentioned but Bailey Smith ran what looked like a fitness test about an hour before the match. He definitely didn't seem right throughout the day, so maybe he's carrying something?

Great win. I get that the Saints suck but it was a bit of a danger game all the same. Mannagh played close to his best game. Jezza was brilliant, especially early. Guthrie continues his defensive reliability. Holmes was elite. Great to see Tyson back.

Took the day off work to go to open training today with my 12yo and her mad friend. Huge turnout, kids everywhere. Mitch Duncan was in an arm sling but still got himself out there to run laps. He's the epitome of a club man. 🧵

It was really just a light skills run and I was mainly there to continue my parental indoctrination program. Which was quite successful. She got about ten signatures and loved it. It's interesting to see who is generous with their time for the kids

Jacob Molier and Patrick Retschko (I scored a signed mini football from him!) were super generous with their time. Jezza, Clark, Mullin, Amy McDonald, Kate Darby, Tom Atkins, and Jack Bowes were great too. Super fun day but I need a break from ADHD kids now. 😭😆

Kolo was there too, which was great to see. I thought he looked good. Hoping we see him before the end of the year. I'm not sure what the current status (yes, I know...) with Bruhn is but he was out with the main group. He looked sharp and I noticed the crowd were as surprised as I was to see him.

Still not over the moon about the performance last night but I need to point out a shining positive. Shannon Neale. He's been pretty good this year and receiving due credit but I wasn't quite on board. I am now. He presented well. His kick form is (to me) technically perfect. He has a huge future.

Probably just a "get it done" sort of match. Huge gulf in class at the end of the day. I loved Guthrie's performance. I marvel at his inner strength, resilience and growth. He is such a great decision maker and is ultra consistent. It's a superstar backline all round for me.

I liked how Holmes started slowly and worked his way into destructive form. Some of his running was simply brilliant. Gryan is a slight concern as his kicking is quite off at the moment.

Jezz was great but I'm more loving Neale playing a significant role in the forward line. Not much else from me at the moment. Just a bit tired after a long week.

I thought Big George was great too and it was worth the wait to see what he has to offer. It's an incredible system that has for over a decade blooded ready made players in such a fashion.

AFL media will write articles like "The top 3 underrated players in the comp" and it will be Clayton Oliver, Serong & Pendlebury or whoever. I'd like to definitively tell everyone who the most underrated player is. It's Tom Atkins. No arguments. Underrated. But he's an absolute a-grade star.

Lol. The AFL's "it's not us, it's you" attitude, while continuing to treat the competition with contempt. Rubbish umpires, stupid rules, and *that* fixture. 🙃
