Assume the snark. Embrace the snide. “Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil.” - Tony Gilroy, through the Andor character, Senator Mon Mothma

When Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens begins playing “Old Corn Liquor,” a traditional Black American folk tune, acclaimed Chinese pipa virtuoso Wu Man recognizes similarities to Chinese pentatonic music and spontaneously joins in. The joy on their faces says it all.

Well…then what does make you an American?

Apollo’s chief economist finds that there is still no measurable impact of AI adoption on corporate America outside of big tech. Revenue per employee and profit margins are rising for the Magnificent Seven but flat for the other 493 S&P 500 companies.

With this crew policy is nothing but politics.

The Trump administration lifted 50% tariffs on products critical to Maine's agricultural industry, giving the Republican Sen. Susan Collins a policy achievement to tout in the final days of her campaign.

First film you saw at the cinema: Around the World in 80 Days (1956). Surprisingly young at 5-6 years old. Thought it might have been The Voyage of Sinbad, but that was released two years later.

I double-checked with New Jersey’s ballot tracking tool…my ballot is confirmed as received. I was confident in it as I used a Dropbox, but if you used mail, it might be worth checking in whatever state you’re in.

Back in the 60s, Shell gas stations gave away free serrated “steak knives” with a fill-up. They were better than most serrated knives available today. But after 50 years of cutting food on hard Corelle plates, they get worn to where they barely cut anything but my fingers.

When I first saw the Warhound headlines, I assumed it was about robotic “dogs”. When I discovered the actuality, it sounded like some sadistic villain in a bad movie.

Pretty good indication that his crew is losing, although even if they do pull it out, no one will ever see that $5,000.

Trump: "If you elected a Republican House and Senate on November 3, you're gonna get $5,000. And if we lose, you get nothing. You're gonna get nothing! If we lose, you get nothing. Make it a lot easier vote."

At least when Reagan and Bush Sr ended the Cold War it resulted in the demise of the USSR. Thanks to Trump’s crush on Putin, that’s on the way to being undone. Maybe Hegseth wanted Ike’s globe so he could identify the borders of the USSR.
