All Four constitutional questions have now flipped to βNO.β I would have rather had the immigration questions do the same, but Dani may have to change some of her powerpoints anyways.

3 of the four constitutional questions Danielle Smith put forward are currently being rejected by Albertans.
And a lot of the votes remaining to be counted are urban, not rural.

The Orange Idiot's brain is melting in real time.
Hello, America? This is NOT NORMAL. You have a 25th Amendment for a reason, could you please use it??
Naheed Nenshi: "[Danielle Smith] has a choice. She can double down on all this culture war garbage or she can try and pivot and try and be a politician for everyone β and look, my money's on the first one."
Also, money aside, can anyone estimate the countless thousands of hours of emotional and psychological stress and campaigning people went through to deal with this ignorant, racist nonsense?
Dear Albertans: The next time that you can't get decent medical care due to provincial underfunding, remember that Danielle Smith blew more than $125 million on that stupid fucking referendum.
By mid-March 2020 there was enough evidence of possible asymptomatic transmission to justify a precautionary approach. The Inquiry says all hospital admissions to care homes should have been isolated. Scotland introduced this advice earlier.
7/10
Governments already knew care-home residents were exceptionally vulnerable to respiratory viruses. Yet protective measures were introduced long after Covid had taken hold. The Inquiryβs verdict is blunt: action came too late.
4/10
The Covid Inquiryβs Module 6 report is devastating. Its central conclusion: adult social care was treated as βsomething of an afterthoughtβ, while βprotecting the NHSβ sometimes came at the expense of people receiving and providing care.
1/10
The Inquiryβs overarching judgement is that fragmented responsibility, ignored warnings, poor data and inadequate planning created conditions in which Covid could spread βlike wildfireβ. Social careβs neglect was longstanding.
During the pandemic, its consequences became catastrophic.
Reyes, before she wraps up golf course hearing, says her family has been texting her, "freaking out" over CNN report about death threats bc of this case.
"A federal judge is getting death threats over a golf course. I really donβt think thatβs what the founders envisioned."
At 10am Judge Ana Reyes will begin an evidentiary hearing in the golf course case at 10am. I'll try to live-blog from the US Courthouse media room for @lawfaremedia.org . This is a case to stop Trump from converting a historic public golf course, open to all, to a Trump style championship course.
J: i rec'd aa number of texts on the break from my mother and my brother because CNN is reporting i'm getting a lot of death threats. this is where we are. a federal judge getting death threats over a golf course. i really dont think this is what the founders envisioned.
adjourned.

relief.
MS: You can stay implementation of WNP.
J: they say there's no plan to implement. I dont want to take expansive action here. I'm very unlikely to say you have to stop everything. we're not there yet. am i at: yeah, just trust me. no, we're not going back to that.
/189
J: do i believe president of the US, or do I believe you?
DOJ: the NPS tells you when the course is going to close.
J: so i dont believe the president
DOJ: not what i said.
way i would look at it is like an exec order.
Claim plaintiffs are raising is to golf course design. ...
/176
J: then this morning pres trump said it would start "IMMEDIATELY"
you're telling me, DOJ is saying, ignore that. just listen to what we're telling hyou and that agency is sayinig there is no plan. won't close on 11/15. things won't start immediately.
can't be both.
DOJ: not quite right.
/175
[Judge is silently reading something.]
DOJ: i just dont think this is improper in the least. agency said we'll do it. but for us as lawyers to say, you know what, it's not requiired.
J: so why is destroying a golf course on parkland and completely rebuilding not agency action.
/156
J: [looks like she's going to read some of the declarations]
not acceptable to make one argument for months and months and months and then when that ends up being inconvenient to switch arguments. there's a reason you made those arguments for months.
Ms Bowron's 1st declaration ...

Reyes was talking about "Rule 11," which is a provision of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that allows judges to impose sanctions for frivolous arguments etc. In the filing, Woodward argued that closing & transforming the existing golf course was "not final agency action"...
/51
J: was it DOJ's view or understanding as of hearing last week, when they told me the TMP plan had nothing to do with redesign of golf course -- did they know whether that was accurate?
Woodward stands.
J: sit down.
Stander: have ever reason to believe it was accurate.
/16
Stander: dont know answer.
J: you don't know. then why did i receive testimony & arg and sworn declarations that tree management plan had nothing to do with Trump's Washington National Plan?
J: DOJ attys arguing as officers of court made arguments. did doj know TMP ...

Govt has claimed changes were only about executing a 2019 plan. ... but now Trump says his new plan is starting immediately.
strong showing of bad faith.
govt argues i'm violating fundamental separation of powers principles. says i can't compel testimony of high-level officials.
/11
Plaintiffs contend govt is not being candid .. by now we've all seen president trump's post of yesterday. announcing plan to destroy current course. ... today's post says work is supposed to begin "IMMEDIATELY." ... Dept of Interior repeatedly said nothing to see here. ...

It's a fast-moving case. Last night Reyes denied a govt request to recuse herself. Trump said yesterday that he was closing the existing course Nov 15 (or earlier) to replace it. 2 days earlier govt attys called such plans were "conceptual," "nascent," & "preliminary."

Quoting Trump's social media post of today, Judge Reyes orders govt to explain by 8pm whether it still takes the positions it took 2 days ago. Also orders Associate AG Stan Woodward to attend hearing tomorrow.
Itβs funny that separatists of all people are trying to push this narrative, because if anyone would be suspected of terrorism on a military base in Alberta the weekend before the referendum it would easily be them.
Wow.
43.1% of all eligible voters have already cast a ballot in Alberta's refendum. (837k in advance polls, 519k by special ballot).
With 1,356,873 votes already, it's likely to blow past the 1,763,441 ballots cast in the 2023 provincial election.
Advance polls and special ballots are all done for the Alberta Referendum and Elections Alberta says a whopping 1,356,873 have already voted. That's 43.1% of all eligible voters in the province before a single poll opens on election day tomorrow. I

A doctor at the Royal Alexandra Hospital confirmed to Postmedia the code orange is due to the explosion at Wainwright"

Our future is stronger together, as Albertans and Canadians. Let's keep it that way.
