I definitely did not have tsunami on my calendar for today. When I was little, I used to have frequent nightmares about tidal waves. Like Deep Impact level, wipe out the Statue Liberty type. Thought they were irrational even then, but maybe not? 🤔

Let me see if I understand. We're told—in effect—that Hegseth is a non-functional alcoholic who commits sex and financial crimes when intoxicated, and who's never sought treatment for his disease or made real amends to anyone he's harmed, but he can RUN THE MILITARY if he pinkie-swears not to drink?

So, in this post-election pre-dystopian reality we’re living in, I’m coming to terms with a couple of new revelations in my family. One is that my oldest (17M) is - while not a Trump supporter-open to “hearing him out” and “curious to see how he does.” And that MAGA brand has some cool factor to it.

I, a hella liberal mom who is also a recovering Catholic, had thought about many possibilities-drug and alcohol addiction, criminal behavior, getting a girlfriend knocked up…I realized I was not prepared for with of these to actual scenarios

I just want to say that my relatives in my native country look at us like, "you get vaccines for free and you...turn them down?" Which roughly translates into "what the ever-loving fuck is wrong with you???"

First post: I'm finally here and feel like I've entered into a sanitary, disinfected space (for now). I still don't know if a mass exodus of that other platform is the answer, but but damn if it isn't nice to have a little space to breath clean air.
