for the past year or so me and the incredible @christides11.bsky.social have been doing the impossible and finally realizing the platform fighter/anime fighter hybrid I've been building on in mostly solitude since 2013. It still never stops feeling surreal to actually play it.

"castlevania" as a general property has reinvented itself enough that you can reasonably pass off any hack and slash with ghouls and castles in it as a Castlevania, but Maximo felt like one of the few earnest attempts to translate the fundamental properties of old dickass platformers to the 3D age

Datafolha projects that Lula has defeated Flávio Bolsonaro and won an unprecedented fourth term in the Brazilian presidential runoff. With 75.87% of votes counted, Lula leads 51.11% to 48.89%, and Datafolha says Bolsonaro can no longer catch up.

I'm banking my entire credibility on the Secret Third Thing, bc as far as solo passion projects go I think it's a lot more manageable, and it's in a genre that I think is more forgiving to my shortcomings. If it doesn't do ok then I'll cry bc this is probably my last shot at becoming self sustaining

somehow I managed to mostly finish the Secret Third Thing today (it was basically already complete save for a few hangups) but I want a bit more time to flesh it out and add more stuff to give it more #Value, very glad my off-screen depressive crashout could amount to something 🗿👍

I want to keep it a surprise for now until I'm actually ready to drop it...though most of that is bc I'm kind of sick of making promises I can't keep. Then again if my goal is to actually make money, shadowdrops are kinda poison for indies. So I might yap about it eventually.

The video game industry decided to discontinue their product, the video game, in exchange for trying to make Fortnites. They have in recent years found out this doesn't work, so they have pivoted from making Fortnites to making ????????????????? nothing I guess
