Hello! It doesn’t cost anything to repost but it helps me spread the word about my small business. My online shop is full of bold & colourful prints, homewares and cards. I’m also available for freelance design work and art licensing. gailmyerscough.co.uk

I would like to thank @unamccormack.bsky.social for reading my contribution to Target Book Day. It was beautifully read. I shall endeavour to overcome my stage fright should there be a next time! An explanation of what Una read - it was a DW 'story' made up of chapter titles from Target Books.

The justly legendary Dr Una McCormack proving the Targets are pure poetry #TargetBookDay

My favourite thing in Where Eagles Dare - and there are many candidates - is that Mary NEVER once looks like she is remotely bothered about what was going on. She could be popping down to Tescos for all it matters.

Data inputting in an office in Reading. My desk was at the end of an impossibly long office, facing the wall. I was given a pile of paper, 10 minute instructions and told to input away. Feeling the weight of the length of the office behind me and the tedium in front of me, I walked out in less than

two hours. I might have lasted less than three hours if the desk wasn't facing the wall. It was the sort of place you could see the unhappiness etched in people's faces as you walked in. The job agency took a dim view of my rebelliousness and actually took me off their books. Which was my gain.

Two weeks until #DoctorWho #TargetBookClub. Expect lots of promos as I try and flog the last few tickets (mainly so I can print the list for door in advance rather than copying it out on the tube on the way, but also I like money) Tickets: bit.ly/smallbluebox

bit.lyTarget Book ClubThe Third Target Book Club Compendium! Another day of talks (some academic, some fun, many both) bombarding attendees with new information, questionable theories, rampant speculation and jaw-dropping...

More than faintly terrified as to how well (or not) this could go down...

Last year we opened #DoctorWho #TargetBookClub with a prose poem, this year Bruce Nicholson (@frontiervinyl.bsky.social) has written a short adventure out of Target book chapter titles. The bad news? You'll recognise all of them. Tickets: bit.ly/smallbluebox

This is done by Richard Moore who has lovingly restored and released Peter Skellern recordings over several Kickstarter projects. The fact he is involved makes this project top notch backable.

An independent label is to issue music by The Goodies and Bill Oddie, some unavailable for 60+ years, after a successful crowdfunding campaign. You can still pledge and get your own copy of The Complete Goodies Recordings (And Other Oddieties). Info: www.comedy.co.uk/shop/news/88...

Went to the pictures this afternoon to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark. I did see it on its original release and I must seen it 427 times since. If any film deserves 'classic' attached to it, this one does. There are a few plot holes, but when something is this good, who cares!?

Who says they had a rubbish a week at work this week? Almost everyone? Cheer up, it could be worse – you could be one of the crew of Moonbase Alpha, who on this day in 1999, found that the stockpiles of nuclear waste, inconveniently dumped just outside their place of work

Ludwig, series 2. Argh! I really enjoy this programme - funny, clever and a great premise. But...with the establishment cover up it feels like it's boxed itself into a corner and has to keep adding to the conspiracy to keep up the momentum. I don't think Ludwig needs it though.
