It always comes back to this for me; if AI was so good, such a disclosure would be a selling point. If AI was everything these slop jockeys said it was, they should be proud to let people know their game was AI made. But the proof is in the pudding, and they can't stand that people don't want it.

70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondล™ej Surรฝ saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

BioWare, founded in 1995 and acquired by EA in 2007, was a fan-favorite studio responsible for several big hits including Baldur's Gate, KOTOR, and Dragon Age Origins but has had some stumbles over the last decade. Around 50 staff had been working on a new Mass Effect that is now canceled.

This means that the increased price of RAM and consumer electronics was a result of an artificial "supply chain crisis" created by Jensen Huang pushing NVIDIA's customers to take early delivery of GPUs. Jensen Huang is responsible for making life worse for everyone.

Ed Zitron@edzitron.com

NVIDIA seems to be channel stuffing, forcing Amazon and other customers to take early delivery. The argument that these things are "scarce" when you don't even have anywhere to plug them into is nonsense...unless NVIDIA is saying you NEED to take them now, or else. GPUs are stacked in warehouses.

Why do we keep on doing this? Praising a 'small core team' for a game with 1100+ people in the credits is incredibly misleading. This PR narrative hurts, hides the massive shadow workforce of outsourced developers and testers, and sets impossible standards for actual indie teams.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer was made by a core team of 75 people. "What we wanted to do was keep that core small, smaller than perhaps you might have done in the past, and scale capacity and capability with what we call distributed development." https://bit.ly/4hT02qg

Penguin Colony made me realize that there's a type of artistic game that's rare, rare enough that I completely did not clock it correctly the first way through, and that made me extremely sad. But I'm glad it did. fluff.love/penguin-colo...
