Dear Canada - I'm so sorry that we haven't yet scraped that orange gum off the bottom of our shoe and we keep stepping on your carpet. I propose you rename the most hazardous waste site in Canada Trump Swamp for the time being. Maybe tailing ponds, or Randle Reef in Lake, checks notes, Ontario.

Here's a novel idea. If you produce and sell a durable good then you have to accept it back at the end of its useful life. Cars, computers, appliances, machinery, etc. otherwise you are making your customers responsible for garbage disposal at some point. Make things that the mfr has to recycle!

The dudes who burned sage outside the MSG Gates the day after President Trump desecrated the place, attending the only game the  Knicks lost all postseason, are the real  NBA Finals MVPs.

Fund independent news orgs. That's an order.

We’re going to go on a rant for a minute, and yes we’re bringing some history with us. Back in 1755, Benjamin Franklin wrote words that still echo today: “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

Today is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Wobbelin, a concentration camp that housed my dad in his last days as a slave. He entered the US with falsified application papers, was arrested by the INS and released by a compassionate court. encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/a...

He was the only survivor from his immediate family. His mother and sisters were murdered at Auschwitz and his father died in German captivity. He survived because an older man told him to lie about his age - said he was 17 when he was 13.

This all started when an egomaniac narcissist started blaming Jews for Germany's problems. If that sounds familiar, look at how leadership in the US blames everyone else (Mexicans, Chinese, Gazans, ...) for America's problems. Happy birthday Dad. Love you. Miss you.

He earned a GED, finished college, married, earned a PhD, started a family, taught physics for 40 years, raised 3 kids who had 5 kids of their own, cared for his elderly aunt, conducted research for the DoD, and told some of the best (worst) jokes. He spoke 7 languages, and aced the NYT crossword.

You are up to date.
