I've just returned from a week riding trains, bikes, and walking in France. Please respect my privacy while I try to navigate this difficult phase of my life.

Earlier in the summer our group ride got pulled over by police. Some car brain called them claiming we were taking up both lanes (we weren't). When he stopped us, someone asked if we were going too fast.

I've been feeling sick about the recent spate of young riders killed by drivers. Riding on US roads is exponentially more dangerous than it should be. Roughly 1000 riders a year are human sacrifices to the worst kind of apathy. So many good people killed because our culture doesn't care enough.

Is everyone aware of the changes coming to 86th and the Monon? Taking out the light and the turns into Nora Commons and Big Lug. Seems like a horrible plan to me. All I see are speeding cars trying to catch the light at 86th/Westfield. Am I missing something?
