Toot toot! More train-related antics with the family over the weekend. This time it was a game of Ticket to Ride which I very soundly lost. However, it was the perfect opportunity for the Kelvin Explorer to make another appearance 🚂💀 #Mystery #Trains #Books 🌈📚🇳🇿📚💙🔎💀📚👀📚🌎🌈✒️

We returned to the scene of the cri— the scene of where we first caught up in person to conduct very important research for my latest mystery… at the station cafe/bar ☕🍺

After an afternoon of top-notch chat, Amanda and I thought we'd better get back to documenting the ongoing antics of Ginny and Addison in The Widows' Detective Club and The Milverton Mysteries, respectively 🫡

The library's online catalogue says all copies of the latest Milverton Mystery are already spoken for, with one on the New Titles display and the rest already reserved for readers! I'll have to head in and investigate for myself 👀

More books for my local bookshop! It was only last week I took in a great stack of Milverton Mysteries to Bruce McKenzie Booksellers but they're running low (again!) so this week's delivery is even bigger 😱

Thanks so much to the wonderful booksellers and local readers who are doing such excellent work in rehoming my books 🏡🕵️‍♂️ It's heartening to see and I so appreciate the support x

If you'd like to check out copies of The Milverton Mysteries from your local library, just speak to one of your lovely librarians 😊 If they have copies in the catalogue already, amazing! If not, they'll hopefully be able to get copies in for you (and for other local readers!) to enjoy 🕵️‍♂️

I am uniquely qualified to speak about one book series in particular: Investigate The Milverton Mysteries for a chaotic cast of local busybodies, delicious baked treats, a demanding and disdainful ginger cat, a very slow-burn romance with a rather appealing policeman, and of course… murder!

What's the point of rating books? A few reasons: 🚀 A boost in visibility so a book is more likely to be recommended to new readers. 👍 Adds credibility because mums might be obligated to give 5 stars but strangers aren't. ❤️ Gives new readers the confidence they're about to embark on a good read.

"A great start to a #cozymystery series. Set in a quaint small town in #NewZealand, this book hits all the right notes… everything you'd expect in a #cozy […] Definitely put this on your TBR list, or better, read it now."
