I had surgery today to remove melanoma from my nose. Thankfully the dermatologist caught it early. I would urge everyone to get a yearly exam. It can be a lifesaver.

I keep seeing posts from Republicans pretending to be insulted by Barack Obama's Cheesecake Factory quip because most Americans supposedly think it serves haute cuisine. First, it does not. And you know that. Second, his remark wasn't about the food. It was about the over-the-top golden decor.
