Apparently some things never change—because there's always a small part of the population that fucks it up for everyone else. This is why the popular vote has to be the way a President is elected; the will of the people is being overridden by a third of the country.

The benign version is they accept the election results but complain about it. The malignant version is they try to overturn the results case by seizing ballots and recounting them and then refuse to seat the new Congress - or recognize it. This will likely involve some form of Martial Law.
