A lot of people are trying to sell the world their favorite climate solution. But how can you tell if the proposed solution makes sense? How do you avoid hype, greenwashing, or just plain bad ideas? Check out the Drawdown Explorer.

This is good news for the Amazon and the planet.

This is worrisome…

Here’s something you should know about minks: They have lungs and airways remarkably similar on a cellular level to those of people. They’ve spread flus and infected humans before with COVID-19. Right now, bird flu is spreading on a Utah farm filled with thousands of them… 🧵

This is gonna be great!

Just like Exxon knew about the impacts of climate change, the beef industry knew too. A new PLOS Climate study documents how the National Cattlemen’s Association (NCA), now NCBA, responded to evidence linking cattle methane to global warming from 1986–1996 (study 🔗 at end of 🧵)

When I was brand new at FC I got pitched a National Cattlemen's Beef Association white paper outlining the 'minimal environmental footprint of beef production in the US' and immediately called up @worldresources.bsky.social to get a sustainable food experts take: www.fastcompany.com/90431910/the...

Whenever i consider a complex, societal question, I often ask the DOLY test. “What would Dolly Parton think of this? “What would the Dalai Lama think of this?” Right answers, every time.

According to Cloudflare Data Explorer the amount of russian bot traffic has dropped to 49% after Ukraine struck a yandex data center. yoda69 / twitter

And now the best part: Bot traffic from the #Yandex network has plunged to near zero following the strike on its Vladimir data center. Bot traffic includes automated requests from search crawlers, scrapers and other online services. Twitter must be a ghost town by now.

Because climate solutions are being implemented globally, the IPCC is ruling out the worst-case prediction of climate change, RCP 8.5. But that does not mean we are in the clear. 🔥 Listen to the full interview with @drkatemarvel.bsky.social in Heated: https://bit.ly/3VYuO9Y
